I have called and written several times and they have not responded. My wife encountered a problem in Istanbul that involved an airport transit visa through Canada. I am certain that any other airline we’ve ever flown would’ve assisted us, since it was easily resolved. To Turkish Airlines, this is simply a part of their business model and a chance to make more money. It took about 8 hours of our time at 5 different airport locations to eventually buy new tickets to get back the next day. Our original tickets say: “REISSUE With 200.00 USD penalty. What I didn’t see was the fine print at the bottom: “Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change rules regarding ticket changes and refunds.”. They mean it. As bad as our personal experience was, the real reason we are so appalled is that we were there long enough to see this is the norm for them. In our single day there, we saw at least 100 other travelers going through similar things. The ONLY solution ever offered is to purchase another ticket. We witnessed several people weeping. Many losing control and shouting. Their own personnel were screaming at customers (in a separate office area though, it was all yucks and laughing). These were people of all nationalities. Africans, Asians, Europeans. We were lucky because we had the means to purchase new tickets. Others clearly didn’t. I really don’t know what happened to some of them. One moment was very symbolic of the entire experience. Another vanquished traveler was paying $843 for a new ticket with cash. He handed her $845 but she, of course, had no change. Instead of the $5, he gave her two $1 bills. I had one in my pocket so gave it to her as well. She held my $1 bill up and pointed to the corner which had a very small piece torn off…no ink was missing…and sneered “I can’t accept this. She did this simply because she could. We were powerless. She knew it and reveled in it."

Language by westjet staff basically Spanish only and rude. We waited on a bus to drive 10 feet to our plane and the driver seemed to enjoy letting us sit in a closed bus with babies and children and elderly. One day this will cause a serious medical issue and westjet will pay dearly. Again, I am aware we cant control that but having a canadian manager there to ensure common sense is used with their customers from gate to plane is a must. Until better I will never fly westjet from there again. On the plane they ran out of food. Again major organizational issues from the companies point of view. Also made me pay twice to pick my seats on my connecting flights. This is petty and cheap. I will be demanding a discount or rebate from westjet due to all the above. If not my story will continue."

Border nazis manning passport desk for entire south terminal, there must have been at least 700 people queueing. Cons: "The food, the seats were old and cramped and i could feel every movement from the ppl behind and actually got shouted at by the man in front of me because i put my water bottle in the pouch in my seat. He thought i was punching the seat. inflight entertainment was brutal, limited selection of movies and bad ones at that. The screen was old and pixelated..... Food was bland and not edible. It was a red eye and we were not given eye masks, toothbrushes or ear buds. Horrble experience ill never fly BA again"

Cons: "I didn't like the 2 hour delay to my schedule. Zero complimentary drinks or snacks to say sorry. Bumpy ride for two and half hours. Stuck on the tarmac at Gatwick for 40 minutes."

Cons: "1 hour delay on return journey on a packed flight, but at least that delay was in the airport and not sitting on a plane"

Cons: "Flight full takes longer time for boarding . But staff was nice and efficient . Lots of leg room comfortable chairs."

Cons: "At airport had line for baggage drop if had boarding passes. But, then only had one station open out of four or five. One person had problem I guess. Line didn't move for 10-15 minutes. VERY BAD!!"

Pros: "Crew were especially friendly and helpful. Very smooth sailing all the way. Just luck that it wasn't a full plane. Lots of pillows and blankets. Food was good."
Cons: "Audio for music wasn't the best. In fact, classic station had skips and drags. Volume inconsistent, although controls were responsive, especially for movie. Coach seats begin to feel like park benches after 5 hours."

Cons: "At check in desk , i have been told that the ticket is suspended and cancelled !! I asked why ? She replied : contact british airways !! I was waiting more than 45 minutes standing looking for a solution before i miss the flight , until finally , i called the customer service( 25 minutes waiting) in LOndon , where they explained to the boarding desk that they should check the credit card to release the ticket !!!!"

Cons: "Man doing the check-in in Madrid (site 909) was very rude and unhelpful."

Pros: "The crew was very nice and professional. They sat me in the last roll on the left with 2 seats. I could not recline the seat and I had to travel sitting up right all the way from Spain to Brazil. Horrible!"
Cons: "They should have offered the empty seats to the passenger as soon the plane closed to take off."

Cons: "Temperature was very hot and embarking procedure took a while to be completed"

Cons: "Toilet was disgusting, crew spoke over the pa and could not understand a thing, entertainment was an old in the back of the seat player very slow and bad picture. Breakfast was a piece of bread."

Cons: "The staff at check in were very rude, we were never advised about paying $150 extra per bag each way! They stated because we booked through a travel agency instead of booking directly with air Europa they charged us for luggage. It was an unexpected large expense. Crew barely spoke any English."

Cons: "The inflight TV monitors didn't work."

Cons: "We have to take a bust to catch the plane. It ya to drive for ages! We left about 40mins later than schedulled."

This sounds like something a shady company would pull off. Was very disappointed, not what I expected from Air Europa"

Cons: "Aggressive, offensive, regimented staff almost strip searched people to assure no one violated their carry on ( one item, no purse) rule. We fortunately complied, but they humiliated an entire family for minor violations"

Pros: "This is the most basic service of just get on the plane type of travel. Nothing is included. They would charge you for the air you breath if they thought they could get away with it."
Cons: "My carry-on of clearly leagal size was tested to see if it passed. Happy to say IT PASSED they could not charge me. No in flight entertainment as there is no place to put a headphone into. They tell you to use your smart phone. The flight attendants disappear and really are not there for any reason I could see except to find ways to charge you for something. When they do show up they basically try to ignore you."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "I am a skyteam member and have platinum status with delta and prior to leaving for my trip I had contacted air europa with my skymiles number and was told baggage was included. Upon arrival to airport my status was ignored and I was refused when asked to speak with a manager. I ended up having to pay 60 euros in baggage fees and then was not allowed to board as sky priority despite showing the airline my status."

Cons: "Sat sweltering on tarmac with doors open. All passengers sweating"

Pros: "Two meals and some in-flight entertainment. Not too bad. You can order a special meal (such as vegetarian) by calling the service center, and it's served first."
Cons: "Red-eye flight, econ seat uncomfortable for sleeping. Fewer entertainment options than other airlines"

Cons: "It was delayed, as normally, 45 mins this time. Awful experience going through security in CDG I would avoid that airport at all cost. Randomly making you wait luggage before security, with add extra 30 mins to the security processes, not sympathy of staff even if flight people may miss their flight."

Pros: "The crew was very pleasant."
Cons: "Did not like sharing a screen with the entire plane. Wish there was individual screens behind the seats."

Cons: "The delay"

Pros: "The boarding was easy. Having a blanket and pillow at my seat."
Cons: "The delay and short time between flights to get to gate and get through customs. Having no in flight entertainment for a 7.5 hour flight. There was not a vegetarian snack option for my daughter."

Pros: "The flight was easy to board when it was time. We left and arrived on time."
Cons: "There was only one person initially checking people in. Then when there was a second person, she was going to make us move to the end of the other line after waiting 30 minutes. She did end up taking us, but it was only after conceding that."

Pros: "Boarding was delayed by almost 2 hours and the reason given in the terminal speakers was "due to a crew change". This delay was ignored by the captain and crew upon boarding the plane 2 hours later. Even a simple apology would have been nice. The crew seemed a bit tense and the service was ok, not more. Some symbolic compensation would have been in place."
Cons: "The flight itself was OK."

Cons: "They changed my flight by 24 hours, without ever sending a clear email telling me so. I missed my business class flight and had to book another crooks."

Pros: "Friendly staff. Good proportion of quality-price for the airfare. Pleasant ride on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with features like the electronic dimmers on the windows."
Cons: "One hour into flight, the entertainment system shut down. The flight attendants tried their best to revive it, and managed to do so after 3 or 4 hours. All passengers applauded."

Cons: "Late, disorganized boarding, group pf adolesccentes traveling behind me were very rowdy and on an early morning flight they have to be asked by the flight personnel to be respectful to the other passengers"

Cons: "We flew twice in 2 weeks. One way the delay was 40m, back - 1 hour"

Pros: "Great price to value ratio, attentive crew, good food. Wifi available."
Cons: "Older panes with no phone jack charging options. What's the use of Wifi if your battery runs low or dies. They have charging ports in Business Class. I don't remember the last time I was on a plane with at least phone charging ports."

Pros: "Price was great, flight crew very attentive, even the food was good."
Cons: "The seats didn't have a port to charge phones. Older planes with antiquated tech. Monitors on back of seats were also outdated. Plane was late leaving Madrid."

Pros: "Comfort and quiet aircraft"
Cons: "Food and that only allow one bag for long haul flight while most of the airlines allow 2 pieces for economy travelers."

Cons: "The flight was cancelled"

Cons: "2h delay and missing connecting flight then another 1 h delay on the new flight that I waited 3 h in Madrid"

Cons: "There wasn't any entertainment. But this was a short flight, so was expected."
