Pros: Lovely crew
Cons: Check-in was frustrating with split lines, late openings. Could not get boarding pass on kiosk or on website. Kayak is not user-friendly and does not seem to support online check-in. Would not recommend using it to others. Will not use it again.
Pros: Crew is always friendly on Cathay. Cathay operates this flight.
Cons: They could have acknowledged my emerald status. They could have upgraded me to premium economy. That’s about all. It was a basic economy seat so not so great. Terrible space under that seat - blocked by video machinery.
Pros: It was an "average" flight
Cons: Food sent me and others to the bathroom---not good
Cons: Food was subpar. The entertainment devices did not work.
Pros: Boarding was easy and the crew were wonderful.
Cons: Entertainment was weak. Food was horrible.
Pros: Main meal (Singapore noodles) was actually ok.
Cons: The cabin crew had a very difficult time dealing with the annoying passengers, who were mainly tourists returning from Abu Dhabi. They had a tough job, but it was all very negative and stressful.
Pros: I flew economy Melbourne > Abu Dhabi and then Abu Dhabi to Melbourne. The first leg of the flight was great, the flight wasn’t full and I had a whole row to myself. The flight attendant even gave me some tips to ensure nobody sat there. This flight was on an A380 so the plane was large and it felt spacious.
Cons: There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Instead they just come around asking “Chicken, Lamb or vegetarian”, and lack any real understanding of what’s actually in the food. 6) When you order a drink, they open the can pour some into a cup but don’t give you the remainder in the can. 7) The inflight wifi is expensive. 19.95 USD for 180mb puts them at one of the most expensive. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad.
Cons: My baggage is missed on my trip
Pros: Plane was clean especially bathroom, chairs were comfy, good entertainment options
Cons: It took forever to check in and board. Colombo airport is a bit disorganized. Vegetarian meal was 2 types of pasta no vegetables
Pros: Overall excellent
Cons: Was not able to select seats online (even 24 hours before), was not able to check-in online, had stand more than an hour in the line for check in in JFK/NY
