Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "30 mintues late"
Pros: "The overall price"
Cons: "Waiting in line for boarding to find out the passengers in the plane that had arrived had not disembarked. Passengers (and not just priority) brought more than one bag onto the plane. The overhead stowage was bulging. As a passenger with a foot cast the disembarkation was not the best"
Pros: "Left on time arrived on time luggage also"
Cons: "More space, better air condition as way to hot on the plane. better drink service. Leaving on time and not 45 minutes later"
Pros: "Flight was ok"
Cons: "Delayed leaving Malta owing to too few staff attending to boarding. Arrival at East Midlands was dire, although I believe mainly due to inefficiency of East Midlands rather than RyanAir"
Pros: "I got there nearly on time"
Cons: "65% of customers had priority so a bun fight to get on. We then tried to use the faster entry on non priority to get into the lounge and were sent back to the priority queue. families with kids weren't given the option of getting on first. Seats were incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of space for bags."
Pros: "The crew were friendly"
Cons: "Entertainment but it was a short flight"
Pros: "On time and quick boarding, arrived before schedule and no issues with flight"
Cons: "Some passengers very noisy and shouting throughout flight but not the airlines fault"
Cons: "Stood in a queue for ages. Got our bags checked and then told that flight in was delayed and once in passengers will deboard first and rhen we will board. No apologies offered. We left late and areived in Dublin late. The trays in front of our seats (all three in our row) were dirty with spilled teas etc and we were not able to use rhem. As for flight and crew and everything else it was ok and nothing special. We felt rushed and were told get a move on quickly."
Pros: "Classic low budget airline : No food or entertainment (hence the 1 star) but everthing else was good."
Pros: "Nothing -apart from the fact I eventually got to the destination I needed the same day!!"
Cons: "The delays. The lack of information. It became obvious we were not going to leave on time. But No announcement. nobody told us of the delay - or why. Then the conflicting information. Technical problems. Flight cancelled. Go to Ryan air deal to organise your own forward travel. Then - once back through Police & customs. No - flight going to happen!!! I have more to say about service & crew - but no space"
Pros: "the plane was really nice and smooth flight"
Cons: "seat didnt lean back and nothing to read or watch."
Cons: "Only one line for those needing to check in at the counter (non-EU) The person who looked to be in charge said we had enough time to wait thru the line. We didn’t. Come very very very early for Ryan Air. We gave up and took the train."
Pros: "You got what you paid for"
Pros: "Ryan Air’s website was down most of the evening when I attempted to check in. Once it finally came back, they had no record of my booking. After hours of attempts I had to call it quits. I will report this as fraud to my bank. I had to book another flight. Thanks, guys. Great platform you’ve built here."
Pros: "The plane left on time."
Cons: "The plane itself was probably one of the most disgusting that I have ever been on. There was literal garbage and food all over the floors, the air flow was not working properly, the crew was not friendly, and upon boarding I was made to wait for a reason that was never explained although I had paid for priority boarding. This airline needs some serious help, because my flight to Ibiza was also a terrible experience. Would 10/10 NEVER fly with them again."
Cons: "Instructions for Non-EU boarding pass we’re unclear. Suggest free water."
Pros: "The crew were all friendly and welcoming"
Pros: "Overall a great flight! Uncomplicated and easy even for a family of five. We got a great deal on the flights and service was good!"
Cons: "We were late boarding and departing for both departures, yet we gained time in the air. Great job!"
Cons: "you sent the us the wrong us the bookings the wrong way round malaga to newcastle 10th of march instead of the other way rounding the same on the return flight newcastle to malaga 17th march .hence had to rebook costing us a fortune.!!!"
Cons: "Would not fly ryanair again."
Pros: "Please return my money."
Cons: "Please return my money."
Pros: "The flight was comfortable enough for a short haul flight. Hostesses were fine I didn't have the need to deal with them tbh not very happy looking"
Cons: "Delayed. This happens so it's fine. We get to the gate to then have to load our own non priority bags on the baggage carriage ourselves with people pushing others off the back side (accidentally). That was not well orgakised at all. I don't understand why we have to pay to sit together? Seat here available to have people sit together. It's a terrible money making tool especially if you have older children who are nervous flyers it means you have no choice but to pay which is unfair"
Cons: "Agent at counter are very rude and disrespectful. Will not tell you agents name to be able to report your problems. Screaming is the only thing that they seem to know how to do."
Cons: "A little late setting off"
Pros: "Low price"
Cons: "delay of 1:30."
Pros: "The height"
Cons: "The screaming baby"
Pros: "Simplicity of travelling from Bournemouth."
Cons: "I paid for a seat specifically because I saw that there was one with an empty seat next to it but after settling down with another passenger in the outside seat and a space next to me, suddenly everybody was moved around and I got a very young boy sitting on the outside seat. Needless to say his parents weren't happy so his father moved down and sat next to me. So no more elbow room for me and I can't believe that young children are sat next to complete strangers with their parents at the other end of the plane. What if I had been a weirdo? Could you please arrange for me to be reimbursed for the price I paid for this seat. Don't get me started on boarding. Why did we have to stand in line for so long when the plane was obviously not ready for us. Passengers are people, not cattle."
Pros: "great service, no turbulence"
Pros: "Plane new and flight good. Plane landed on time. Crew pleasant"
Pros: "I was able to take my guitar as hand luggage, which is very important. Even though guitars exceed the hand baggage limits, many professionals need to be able to carry on their instruments. Priority boarding is essential."
Pros: "Male member of cabin crew was funny, friendly & proffessional"
Cons: "No prosecco immediately after take off!"
Pros: "Easy boarding, cheap, quick and comfortable"
Cons: "paying extra for 20 kg luggage"
Cons: "We were stuck on the ground for an hour. Not impressed."
Pros: "Nothing . I wish there was an option for 0 stars"
Cons: "They charged 3 times more on the actual ticket for CHECK-IN at the airport and PRINTING BOARDING PASSES. Sent us to the cashier two times separately to pay for checkin bags and for the boarding passes. When we did not understand the extra round trips to the cashier the agent yelled at us. If you must fly RyanAir -make sure you pay for every thing on line ahead of the tIme and unless you are a back packer do not think you are getting a bargain price."
Cons: "Too much of a hassle for check in, overcharge on bags, bad customer service"
Pros: "Boarding was ridiculous from both ends of plane with people from back end squeezing past people from front end to find their seats. They list my checked backpack on a flight from Amsterdam to Spain. It took 5 days to get it back. Crazy!"
Cons: "Everyone had backpacks that got checked for free. Why did I pay to check my luggage? Stupid."
Cons: "Delayed for boarding the aircraft"
Pros: "Cabin crew were brilliant and dealt with all questions with ease. Well trained team and immaculate appearance."
Cons: "Rough landings but not sure if that's due to aircraft model."
Pros: "Very good"
Pros: "The crew knew no better. But everything from check in to boarding was miscommunicated, chaotic, nickel and dining and overall aggravating to say the least. I will never fly this airline again."
Cons: "Please See above. Non disclosed extra fees. Zero sense of customer care or hospitality. Stressed crew. A sense of chaos that does not make one feel safe nor secure when flying."
Cons: "it seems unfair that Ryanair cannot simply print a boarding pass. When travelling access to a printer is not always easy."
Cons: "We did not take a big suitcase as we needed to get home as soon as possible.but as we were entering the plane our hand luggage was t as taken off us and put into the hold.we told them we had my medication in the bag and it needed to be with us but they said it was nothing they could!d do.as we sat in our seats we noticed there was still plentyof room to put our hand luggage.and as more people entered the plane they had hand luggage with them and put them in the overhead locker.really really not happy"
Pros: "Price of ticket."
Cons: "Charging customers expensive fees for snacks. And having to pay 60 euros for a 20kg checked baggage. It's just rediculous."
Cons: "We had priority and the forgot to give us seat assignments. We missss our flight despite being there 2 hours early due to security (not Ryanairs fault). But it took us 3 hours to be reticle ted because they use a subcontracted staff who was closed. We were told to get our baggage and recheck, after waiting 50 minutes were told that our bags made our original flight-even thought that is against FAA regulations. Went back to ticketing and the Sipervisor told us that our bags did not make the flight and to go back to get them. Another 45 minutes and we were again told that they made the first flight. Happily they actually were at our destination when we arrived. Never again. And we paid more in change fees Han the ticket cost"
Pros: "Everything was smooth; crew and ground personnel all very pleasant and kind. Easy flight, comfortable seats for a relatively short trip."
Cons: "Obviously, having to pay for every little thing is very annoying. Also, although improved from a few years ago, it seems to cost as much, if not more, to check in luggage than to fly your person!"
Pros: "Low cost, flight times which met my travel needs"
Cons: "Check-in desk in Athens airport opened late, and I was forced to pay the luggage charge (pre-paid during on-line booking of flight) a second time. The boarding process at the gate was chaotic and unprofessional. My seat in the plane was cramped and uncomfortable. We were never offered any refreshments, but the cabin crew had time to hawk beauty products and raffle tickets for charity then stand around for the rest of the flight chatting, sharing pictures from their friends, etc. As I stated in my previous post about the outgoing (ATH to RHO) leg of this trip, I will never deal with RyanAir again."
