Cons: "When a 30 minute delay was announced (13.45 instead of 13.15), I was fairly philosophical. However, we didn't board until 13.45. Once settled in our seats, another 25 minutes went by when the plane did not move. No information's given. I asked a member of the cabin crew what was going on who said she didn't know anything. I then heard her ask (presumably the captain) on the intercom if he could make an announcement as 'passengers were enquiring' We were then informed that we would have a further delay of up to an hour. We eventually took off at 16.00, over two hours after scheduled time. Thank goodness, I had left plenty of time for my connecting train. I was equally unimpressed for different reasons with Jet2.com on the outward flight on 12 July. I will not be flying with them again."

I was glad that i could take my hand luggage onto the plane, allowing me to exit without having to wait at the carousel. There was plenty of space in the overhead locker. The website did not work well and it ended up booking 2 bags each and charging me for two each. That was odd because I booked and paid for my bags online the previous day while I was checking in.they said I had to write a letter to get back my extra baggage fees I was charged in error. Iberia changed my seats without my knowledge, and denied charging me extra. I have papers to prove my claim and will dispute the charges with my credit card company. Directions to our connecting flight in the airport by Iberia staff was confusing and they were extremely rude. We asked 3 different times! We were in danger of missing our connecting flight. Iberia is the worst airlines I have ever experienced, and I will never purchase a flight on Iberia again! Lesson learned!"

Their back up reason for needing to check bags was the flight was overbooked and there would be no room for bags, both of which were false as I personally counted at least 15 seats open and there were at least 6-7 completely empty overhead bins. Finally, it is Kayak that notifies me that my flight is delayed 90 minutes, but yet the airline decides it is a good idea to have us board and then just sit on the plane before finally telling us after 30 minutes of sitting on the plane with the flight door still open that we are delayed another hour. I would not fly them again."

Our bags that are considered carry on size are still too big for this airline do you will forced to check Them! This is obviously how they offset their inexpensive tickets! The cost of the ticket, once you add in all the other unexpected expenses in order to actually get on the flight, was NOT worth the "cheap" tickets we got! That's the only reason we decided to fly to Ireland while on our trip to the U.K. Had we known it would cost this much we never would have come to Ireland for two days!!"

Cons: "Gate was changed after initial assignment. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't sat almost in front of the counter and overheard a customer there saying my flight. I asked someone even closer to the counter if that's the gate, and was told no. There aren't even display boards at the counter so you really have to check. The right gate ended up on the opposite end of the airport, so I wasted a trip and a half, in a way. The previous flight was late, so we boarded half an hour late. We were warned to wait another half an hour on the tarmac but luckily got out in less than half that time. There was no liquid soap in the toilet. I unscrewed the bottle (they really save money and the environment there), put in hot water, and was able to get the soap I needed."

My flight change fees were also as much money as my initial ticket. I almost missed my flight because of the extra time required to add in and pay for all of these fees. All told, at the end of the experience, I ended up spending 400% of the cost of my initial ticket. Be wary, be informed, read the fine print, and then be prepared for shamelessly overt marketing, uncaring bored male flight attendants, and a shabby dirty plane covered in cheap vinyl and bill boards. Next time I will pay any price to avoid this experience."

Myself and two friends on the same flight arrived at the airport very early because we were warned we needed extra time for customs. Little did we know that the extra time we needed was to make sure we didn't miss our flight due to the incompetence of the Ryan air staff checking baggage. But actually even before that, you need to be aware that you'll pay another $15 if you are in the same situation we were in and are unable to print your boarding pass. When we arrived to check baggage their automated system was not working. This appeared related to payment however there didn't appear to be anyone in the long line able to do this. We were subsequently sent back and forth about six different places in order to Just check our one piece of luggage each. One of my friends was directed to a separate line at one point and the agent started yelling at us while we were in line. There was only one poor woman who knew what she was doing having to handle several of us who were angry (not just us), as well as a long line of passengers trying to also check their bags. As I said I would not fly Ryan Air again if you paid me! In the long run you pay more between their "extras" and the aggravation."

No baggage is included but that is in the fine print or not explained at all so when you get to the airport you have to buy luggage for the flight which unsurprisingly, is more expensive at the airport rather than online."

The website was horrible and kept dropping me so after I chose the extras, paid with my credit card, and received the billing confirmation I thought I was done. Funny thing was they had all the passport information they needed because I really did check in online so all they had to do was push a button to print out my boarding pass. Biggest ripoff ever!"

The cost of the one way ticket for the two of us was 80 Euros yet the extra fees were 240 Euros. Give me a break! The seats are uncomfortable and then they broke my golf driver in my bag. I haven't even tried to claim that with this airline because they don't care about their customers. Never again and I would suggest to anyone to stay away from Ryan Air. Least transparent company I have ever used."
