Booked this as was going to Denver direct and ESD a fair price. Generally well looked after.

Not made clear that this trip did not include food unless purchased separately but spotted It day before so purchased our own to take on board. Was actually better as we had what we wanted and most importantly could eat/sleep when it suited us. Not offered any drink not even water but had our own. Nearly slipped up with baggage as did not purchase bags coming back as missed the point while booking. How many people book return flights and don't bring bags back? Should have been an 'are you sure' check.

I fly routinely for work including internationally. I have always been able to carry on 2 pieces of hand luggage -- 1 small rolling bag and a personal messenger bag. I was surprised upon my return flight to be told I had to check one of my bags because their combined weight > 10kg. There was no problem with me having both bags for carryon during my departing flight. The return flight wasn't even half full, so there was plenty of cabin space for my rolling bag. Instead, this was a ridiculous policy of Norwegian so that they could ring some money out of me. I doubt I will fly with them again.

Cancelled after 4hours of waiting in the plane. Only one representative of the firm was outside and he lacked information. There was one hotline for all 300++ passengers to call, so of course everyone was on hold, yet this was the only possible means by which to get a flight transfer, because refunds, we were told, were not possible. Yet the next possible flight was (1) almost 24hours later, and nobody would tell us whether we would be reimbursed for an extra night's stay in accommodation and travel costs back into London , and (2) sold out within a few hours, so half the stranded passengers would have to get an even later flight, on Norwegian.

The crew were very polite and looked smart, I didn’t find them very personable at all though. The entertainment system is fantastic and my meal was ok I guess, I requested the low fat meal, probably should’ve just had the normal one.

The seats are not very comfortable, very hard and textured seats that just don’t feel nice at all especially on a long flight. I weight about 11 stone (154 pounds) and even I felt like I was taking up a lot of room in my seat.

Your crew is amazing.

Chaos at the gate, TV displays facing the side wall instead of the waiting area, we couldn’t see anything. Need more organization in line. Also, why there is no charger on board for cell phones? No TV entertainment or music or anything. It was clearly lacking the sophistication and class of Lufthansa.

Great pilots and crew.

Flight out was delayed by four and a half hours, missed connection was a pain. Was not aware that Lufthansa changed their policy. To reserve seats you have to pay hundreds of dollars, which was not made clear while booking. Further the quality of their food was significantly degraded.

The flight was very pleasant, with great service. The in-flight entertainment selection was good, food was tasty. The day we flew, this flight was maybe half-full in coach, which may not be great for BA, but fantastic for leg room! The attendants were lovely, and I particularly enjoyed the continuous water service through the flight, which kept me nicely hydrated. The ice-cream mid-way through movietime was a welcome treat!

I liked that there was a smaller airplane on LED - HEL route: it gives more "feeling of flying" than the bigger planes do.

I didn't like the fact that it was not indicated in advance (when the tickets are sold) that LED - HEL route is operated by a different airline, even though that airline is a Finnair's partner. It would have been better to have a complete information up front. But the airplane and crew were excellent.

Boarding was a bit chaotic. Everyone was all bunched up and you could not get through when your rows were called. Also, when they "boarded by rows" the called rows 23-50+ all at once so that people were all bunched up in the isles of the plane. It really did not help

For the fare, the leg room is not enough for average 6'0 person to be comfortable for longer than an hour.

The staff were fine, nothing really great, but nothing bad either.

So, we'll start with boarding. Why airlines can't figure out to board the plane from back to front is beyond me. No, let's load front to back so everyone has to uncomfortably shove past the people who have already taken their seats at the front of the plane. Then you get back there and all the overhead bins are full because everyone takes as many bags as possible onto the plane. Then you have to sacrifice the already tiny amount of foot room, "to put the bag fully underneath the seat in front of you." At this point you should be fine, except if you're over five and a half feet tall (I don't know if that's true I'm 6'2" and 275 lbs,) because then your knees are going to be buried so deep in the chair in front of you that the person up there doesn't even need a seat they can just sit on your knees. Luckily for you tall people, they put a nice metal rod just about knee level to really dig in and cause pain . . . Yay! Being a big guy, you try to be considerate and fold your arms in to give the person next to you as much space as possible, but don't expect that back as they'll spread out and become as wide as possible. Then to distract yourself from the discomfort, you try to use the free in flight entertainment via the United app, but "it's not available right now." In summation either be short and small or be rich and buy the seats with extra legroom when you fly United.

The check-in staff were very friendly and helpful.

I already knew I was going to pay $200 to ship my boards back home (I wonder if golf clubs which are roughly the same size cost as much,) but when pre-purchasing through the app for an "oversized" bag you have to put a "one" in the checked bag and a "one" in the oversized bag even though they're the same bag, but then they charge you for two, and when you tell the check-in person that you only have one bag of course they can't issue a refund. No, they tell you that you get to call customer service when you return home.

They provided a pillow and blanket which was very nice, and the crew were helpful in finding space for items during take-off and landing. The boarding and exiting were fairly quick.

Everything on board costs extra, including basic drinks and snacks, but that's to be expected on cheaper flights. I assumed that the inflight movies cost money as well, although I didn't watch any because I didn't have headphones.

The seats were roomy and comfy and I was glad I didn’t have to pay extra for a seat like other airlines.

Boarding was very confusing and the customers reacted by plowing Willynilly down the ramp nano seconds after the physically challenged were wheeled on to the plane ignoring the airline staff at the gate. I went with the flow praying I would not get arrested. We boarded a total of 40min late . Second if I am paying for my baggage I should not have to wait 30-40 min for them to come out at baggage claim.

This was probably the worst handled flight I have been on; there was first a slight delay, then a longer delay, then a much longer delay, all of which one could find out only after checking online; there were no announcements about the delay until after the scheduled time of departure; then there was another announcement that there was a mechanical problem and we'll be apprised of the situation at 7pm (the flight was scheduled at 6:25). The person at the counter disappeared. At 7:30, the gate changed to a different flight altogether--still no announcement, still no person at the gate. When a different person finally appeared and I asked her what happened to the Pittsburgh flight, she said, it's here, it'll be departing at this precise gate shortly. At that exact time, the PA system had an announcement that the flight to Pittsburgh is now scheduled at gate 86 at 7.01 (yes, 7:01, even though it was already after 7:30). When we went to gate 86, there, of course, was another flight there. After waiting some more, the woman at the first counter now appeared at gate 86 and said the flight was to be at gate 88. Until the very end when we boarded, gate 88 continued to say the flight was to Columbus. Absolutely abysmal customer service. (Even the boarding was handled badly, but at that time we didn't even care.) I am never recommending Air Canada.

Stuff happens from time to time but it would have been nice for them to have handled it better.

While I've ranked the crew as poor, that isn't a reflection of the entire crew. The flight crew and check-in team were fine, the boarding I have as mediocre due to delay, but I don't put that on the staff.

My issues are two part: 1 - I wasn't informed that I was required to retrieve my luggage from the carousel on this flight from George Town to Toronto. I thought perhaps I missed something, however, the three other couples that were in the same predicament I was weren't aware either. This caused a massive headache, the instructions were superbly poor on how to retrieve the luggage, and the process was completely a waste of time. We had to talk with three different people, the person that took us back to the carousel showed no urgency despite us all explaining that we were on a short layover, and might miss our next flight, and even though we had our passes to get through customs, we were made to wait in line to have our baggage inspected. A completely broken process that could've been avoided with a friendly reminder at check-in. 2 - Once I was able to retrieve my luggage I picked it up off the carousel only to find the handle on one piece of luggage had been ripped off, and the plastic lining on the other bag was destroyed. Admittedly I find this to be no surprise after seeing how mine and everyone else's luggage was handled so poorly upon being loaded into the cargo. I saw my luggage being tossed 3-5 feet into the cargo area - literally picked up, and with complete disregard flung like it was a trash bag being thrown into the dumpster. Since I didn't have time to discuss this with any staff due to my prior issue and being unable to find a representative once I landed back in Vancouver, I called the next day to discuss this over the phone, but the representative explained that I was only able to make a complaint in-person at the time of baggage retrieval. The person was absolutely useless and unwilling to help. This was by far the worst treatment I've had at any time in my life while flying any airline. The trip to George Town was with American Airlines, and even though it was longer, and a tad bit more expensive, the service I had with them was stellar by comparison to my experience with AirCanada. Going forward I will only be using AC when there are absolutely no other options.

Boarding chaotic- no clear lines people pushing ahead which I am not used to- my handluggage was ok’ed at origin in US- was pulled aside in Zurich based on my “ ticket”- it was perfectly well suited and not oversized. Throughout the long flight, the cabin crew was excellent. They were attentive and friendly. They avoided interrupting quiet time and rest time by keeping off the PA system (well done). The food was fantastic. We were lucky enough to get some business class tickets with points, and the food was amazing. Wine was excellent. This team was quite solicitous of my parent with reduced-mobility. And the bathrooms stayed clean throughout the flight. find this is often an areas where many airlines fall down. And it's too bad, because while I'm 100% sure it is no fun to clean a toilet while in flight, it is a really a big negative for the customers. Overall excellent attention to detail, with a cheerful and "can-do" crew that kept the plane "proper" throughout the flight and provided seamless service. Good stuff. Will fly again.

Nothing remarkable

I got up to use the bathroom and I was seated in the 10th row. When I was trying to make my way back to my seat, the beverage service had started. They were at the 12th row and after bumping into me, the flight attendant asked me to back up and wait until the beverage service was over to go back to my seat. This was a flight from Frankfurt to Zurich, only about an hour long, and I would have easily spent half of it standing up had I complied with their request. I had to be pushy and ask them to just back up the cart 2 feet so I could get to my seat, which only took them 5 seconds. This was a very rude, illogical, and unreasonable request from the Swiss Air crew.

There was a medical situation on board. The crew kept us informed as to why we were delayed and updated us on the situation and when we would be leaving. A dispute between two passengers was solved by the steward wisely moving one of the parties involved.

There was one hotline for all 300++ passengers to call, so of course everyone was on hold, yet this was the only possible means by which to get a flight transfer, because refunds, we were told, were not possible. Yet the next possible flight was (1) almost 24hours later, and nobody would tell us whether we would be reimbursed for an extra night's stay in accommodation and travel costs back into London , and (2) sold out within a few hours, so half the stranded passengers would have to get an even later flight, on Norwegian.
