The rerouted flight got me to Washington Dulles airport, where I then had to purchase a second flight to get me home to Cleveland, Ohio, at an additional/extra cost of $450. MY CAR IS PARKED AT TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!!! I am having to now rent a car and drive there tomorrow (Friday) to collect my car, at another additional cost of $100 plus a 10-hour round trip. Due to the lack of information and communication on your companies behalf, I am down close to a $1,000 and will lose 2-days in work as of the additional days I am having to travel back to Toronto to collect my vehicle. I would appreciate contact from your organization to find the avenue I need to take for compensation of my time and finances. Regards"

Cons: "SAS has introduced hand luggage measurement and weighing at checkin, for a maximum of 17.5 lbs or 8 kg. SAS does not care if you have flown on another transatlantic carrier, which allows more than 8 kg. Then you need to start emptying your hand luggage at checkin. The whole checkin process was a big mess, the contract employees eg. at Heathrow do not help much (they probably do not do this to any other airline). SAS staff does not remind you to take your IDs and passport, medications etc. from your hand luggage, which is then checkedin luggage as opposed to hand luggage. It is obvious that transatlantic passengers have more hand luggage than many local passengers."

I was most impressed with the meal service. We were served twice on our 9 hour flight, and both meals were hot, healthy, and the best I’ve had during a flight. The passenger in front of us was having a hard time with her sinuses, and the flight attendant (whose name I wish we had gotten) was very attentive and concerned for the comfort and well-being of the passenger. She insisted on doing anything she could to alleviate the woman’s difficulty. It is clear that the crew care about the passengers’ experience."

So we weren’t able to sleep, despite trying to get comfortable/somewhat horizontal. It seemed to be a mixed bag of asleep and awake passengers on the flight, so some people were unaffected by this issue."

Cons: "The SAS Supervisor at the gate permitted all preferred-level economy class ticketed passengers to board irrespective of the amount of their carry-on items - in some cases as many as three different items and many over-sized as per the measuring box located at the gate walkway, before conducting a bag-by-bag weight check on all the remaining economy ticketed passengers. Any carry-on item over 8 kgs was refused access to the airplane, and had to be unpacked at the gate in full view of other passengers to remove all electronic devices or breakable items, prior to being left with the gate agent to be placed on the plane as checked luggage. This procedure was conducted in an officious and highly non-customer friendly way, and was embarrassing to those passengers who had to "strip down" their single bag, in particular for female passengers who had overnight clothing and toiletries. A more practical and customer appropriate approach should replace such a draconian procedure."

Other international flights offer an alcoholic drink with your meal free of charge and I appreciate that. I have a bit of anxiety when I fly and that helps take the edge off. I was really disappointed in this. Heck, Air Berlin comes around and refills your wine glass multiple times."

I ordered a meal for the flight, but was surprised that when I needed even just an additional glass of water (during the 12 hour flight) I was charged $3. If I had not ordered a meal, I would not have received even the one drink that I got. This was a 12 hour flight, and most people around me were not offered even water."

I called the airlines 48 hours in advance, and they told me that, in order to pay for a meal package I would have to have called at least 72 hours in advance. Also the flight had no vegetarian hot meal options, which sucked for me. I was appalled that you had to pay for, even, water!!!!"

We were not given any services for the 12+ hours we had no access to purchase food. The food service system was no working on the plane. It also took us 20 minutes to find a gate. The plane was very warm and everyone was angry. The check in process was also horrible with the staff being rude. The flight attendants were also not very nice and after experiencing the scare of something going on they should've been a bit more accommodating. I will never fly Norwegian again or fly out or into Gatwick Airport."

And last but not least, we sat on the plane for 3 hours before we took off, 2 of those hours was without airconditioning."

Since this is an emergency exit area, why didn't one of the staff tell these people to move the suitcase. The lady was using the suitcase as an ottoman. I told the stewardess and she did nothing about it. Safety violation?"

Ventilation and lighting are superior in a way that I doubt can be corrected on older aircraft. Norwegian's crew are *superb*. I've never had such snappy service on an aircraft; ordering via the built-in touchscreens is quick and straightforward. Also, I pre-bought the meal for a 7-hour flight, and it also came with a snack near the end, and each came with a drink."

This is extremely deceptive since even a "personal item" such as a backpack with a laptop can weigh almost 10 kg by itself. the policy seems to deliberately make people show up with bags they have to check at the gate for $50. in fact, nearly every passenger had this problem. the employees at the gate, rather than be sympathetic, would just smugly point to the fine print and say "It says it right here!" Seems like a way to squeeze more money out of people since there's nothing else you can do except skip the flight. i did. it authorize them to charge my credit card but they ran it anyway. Very bad customer service. would not recommend this airline."

Just a big mess all around. To top it off, we had turbulence coming into New York which made a nearby passenger sick so the flight smelled awful. This is my first and hopefully last time flying Norwegian through Gatwick."
