Construction should start at 9am, not before. Was a beautiful hotel, staff was great. Was very cozy, and relaxing.
The bar staff and leaving the hotel
Room Cold wind blew in arnd window, Bathroom door hinges so rusted the door would not fully close. Toilet ran all nite Vent in wall of bath between our room and next we cld hear the man gargle, spit and other not so nice soundsWyndham purchased last March. they should not put their name on it until the renovation is complete..Be aware because they do not tell you when you make reservation...Renovation 9 to 5 daily. If you get a room on the west side of the hotel, pressure washing starts at 3:30AM, trash pick up daily at 6:45AM Deliveries start right after that...
Location is in the heart of the historic district and many attractions are in walking distance.
My room was right by a noisy elevator. While the room was considered renovated and it mostly met those expectations, the bathtub was pretty dated with mildew in the caulking. The rest of the bathroom furnishings (floor, sink and countertops) were fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived on Thanksgiving Day and the front desk provided us with a list of restaurants that were open for supper. It is a beautiful, historic hotel and it has the best location. You don't even need a car, if you don't plan on leaving the historic area.
Room and staff were very good.
Hotel has highway 190 in front and a Walmart distribution center in back. Too much truck noise. This hotel has a convenient location, very nice rooms and an excellent staff. Unfortunately it is a block off Highway 190 which is very noisy. To compound the noise problem, there is a Walmart distribution center in the back across a plowed field a block way. The 24/7 truck traffic is a real annoyance.
Great location. Room was very comfortable. A little noisy with wedding reception going on below us, but not to bad.Great choice for visiting Charleston. Central location to everything in the historical district. Great facility and will be even better as the remodeling continues.
The staff was marvelous! Location is excellent with it's proximity to downtown shopping restaurants and sightseeing.
Construction is actively going on. Noise from workers is somewhat annoying. Also: there was a perpetual hum/noise in our room which sounded like a dryer or motor running making sleep really difficult.New fresh decor and central location make this hotel a great stop. The historical features have been retained and the charming restaurant and outdoor dining area are wonderful. The staff is top notch.
Staff was wonderful
NoWould definitely stay here again!
The public spaces were very nice and the staff was GREAT! The location was very good to explore the historic district.
The rooms were in need of a facelift and the hotel is in the middle of renovating. I saw the design boards and once it is completed everything will be beautiful. I would stay there again.
We liked everything! Staff was super accommodating.
Beautiful renovated corner room on top floor with two windows and a wonderful view from each. We could walk all the places we wanted to see, and restaurants were all around us.We stayed in a beautiful renovated corner room on the top floor with two windows and a wonderful view from each. We could walk all the places we wanted to see, and restaurants were all around us. There was a delightful architectural tour that left from the Mill House Lobby. We loved the hotel and our stay in Charleston.
