Pros:

The attendant at the drop off location was helpful and attentive to my concern and fixed the problem.

Cons:

AVIS was charging me for a late fee, when I had paid for 2days (2*24hr periods)

The fuel tank wasn't quite full and the inside of the tank was disgusting, had an awful smell , I had to armour all everything before I could drive the vehicle

When we arrived for our booked time. We were told they did not have the type of vehicle (truck) availble and that it would be 30-45 minutes wait. Unfortunately, we did not have that kind of time to wait as we had an appointment to be at with the truck. Avis disappointed us and it ended up creating a domino effect. The item we needed to pick up with the truck ended up going to someone else because we were not able to transport it. Had we had the truck, we would have been able to have got our item and gone about our day. We will not rent with Avis again due to their lack of reliability, and lack of communication.

When we picked up car, a manager told about small chunk on the windshield, but did not add it in the report, because it was to small. When we drop off the car, he said that we did the chunk, it wasn't before.

Ok … appointment for pick up was 3:00 pm and showed up at 3:00. Door was locked and they seemed put out I was not there earlier, yet the appointment was for 3:00. They didn’t make note of any windshield chip then tried to crave me for one that was there already. They checked a previous note and found the chip was indeed already there. Vehicle was good and staff friendly.

The Vehicle was in a poor condition and hadn't been cleaned adequately, there were writings in the Window which hadn't been wiped down and just the General conditions were substantial for Budget Company with Budget reputation, people except more From such known outfit.

Pick up and drop off was super fast and efficient. The team at the westend were helpful. I would say the value for the rental was overpriced. I did need a rental due to my car breaking down just to get me and my family around the city and it cost a little over $1000 for a week and just 397 kilometres driven total for a car. That makes it around $2.52/kilometre. This was the main reason why I didn’t extend my rental and I sought out other solutions.

The first car given had broken windshield wiper blades. Drove car home and had to clean the windows when I discovered the rubber was falling off of blades and an empty Tim hortons timbit box under the seat. Phoned dealer immediately and was told I would have to replace gas if I drove to far. all I did was drive home. Told they would exchange car for a Toyota Camry at no extra cost. When I got there I was given a Toyota corolla and when I asked about the Camry was told no it is a Corolla. Car had out of province plates and was dirty inside. Must have just been sprayed with a deodorizer as I was overwhelmed with a heavy smell when I opened the door. Scent had me coughing and choking during the entire 12 hour drive. It was like I could taste it. Terrible stains on back seats which had my quests questioning whether to get in or not. Again the windows were filthy on the inside. Never, ever will I rent from this company again. At first the agent also tried to tell me I had to pay for mileage. After showing my confirmation and stating I only rent with unlimited mileage he let that go. But stated if I needed the car longer I would pay a higher rate and pay for mileage. Never, ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
