The elevators were very slow and over the 4th floor jerked and made noises above the 4th floor. Neither the gift shop, cafe or restaurant were open in the morning at least before 9:00 when I left.
Friendly people. Got there very early and they put me in a room without a problem. Never happened to me before.
The hotel was close to the IIT conference.
The El was across the street, and loud.
Room was clean for the most part but we only stayed 1 night so I cannot evaluate housekeeping, etc.
Noise level -- could hear screaming baby and couple fighting at 2:00 a.m. In addition, the television didn't work.
It is easy to get out of town from that location if you are heading south. The place is, perhaps, a half a step up from a poorly run motel.
Some staff were a bit surly. Very slow elevators. Hallways and room smelled like a poorly working air conditioner. Limited on-site dining.
