The price...it increased $70 in less than 90 minutes to a ridiculous amount. The room smelled like a toilet disinfectant. The smell was so bad I had to sleep with the windows open. The bed slats broke in the middle of the night, so I slept in the large canyon in the middle of the mattress. The shower was warm (not hot) and had NO pressure. It was a terrible experience.
From our room we could hear the train going by every 15 minutes

Staff was friendly, hotel looks nice and the rooms were clean. The bed was comfortable. The location is great and we got it on a deal for kayak at $109 when everything else was close to $200. I was a little wary with the price being so low, but the hotel did not disappoint.
The rooms are small, but they were still nice. If you book knowing they are small, you won't be disappointed.
Room not ready on arrival. Requested extra linens and the smelled musty.

Location was excellent. Rooms were clean and spacious. Friendly staff.
I loved the Riverfront view
I felt like for the price I paid that the rooms would be a lot more luxurious but they were just standard hotel rooms with a good view of the river.

great accomodations and service
The staff was extremely helpful with everything from directions to meal preferences. The quality of atmosphere was also very good. The decor and views from the hotel were better than anywhere I've ever stayed.
The pool area was not on par with the essence or ambiance of the rest of the hotel, with the lack of hot tub areas and the extreme plainness of the pool area compared to the rest of the hotel.

You would not cancel my reservation. It is not by the Chicago Midway airport. It cost me time and money to get there. I wanted to stay near the Chicago Midway airport. I didn't want to waste 3 hours Traveling to and from the hotel.
The restaurant was clean and breakfast food was good. The hotel staff at the check in, bell hop, and concierge were wonderful. The fitness facility was awesome.
My room was dirty for me liking. I think the charge for the fitness facility was rediculous after the price I paid for the room. The South Loop area is a tad rundown for my liking.

Beds were comfy and staff was great
I took my daughters and a friend to Chicago to attend the One Direction, 5SOS concert at Soldier Field. I was honestly quite nervous about the trip. I knew the hotel was going to be extremely crowded and expected a chaotic Saturday from afternoon and into the night. Luckily I was able to book a plan that included on site self parking which was very convenient. Upon entrance into the lobby for check in, there was a lot going on and many people. The staff was very friendly and efficient and we were up on our room much quicker than anticipated. The room was nice. We were on the 11th floor in the North Tower. The view was not spectacular, but definitely not terrible. The beds were very comfortable, pillows were fluffy, but never aggravated my sensitive neck. The toilet was in a small closet size room inside the bathroom, which allowed sharing of the bathroom for girls doing makeup. Nice sized room and television. The iPod dock and plugs came in very handy. We had free Wi-Fi which was also popular with teen girls. There were restaurants, but the girls wanted to wait until after the concert to eat in, so we were able to walk to a nearby McDonald's for a quick pre-concert meal. Loved that they provided us with a map to Soldier Field. The walk was about a mile, but very nice and so much more convenient than taking transportation or attempting to drive. There was no time for the pool, but it looked nice. The girls were able to go in the fitness room for a bit and were quite impressed. There was some noise, but honestly not bothersome; especially knowing the hotel was packed with so many girls of various ages all there for One Direction/ 5SOS. I expected so much more noise! Check out once again went very quick considering the amount of people in the line. This was overall a very nice stay. Would love to return when we can stay longer and get a better feel of the hotel and what it has to offer. Definitely a beautiful and comfortable get away place that we plan to visit again.
Did not like the fact that at least one restaurant was not open later for after the concert food. We should have checked beforehand, instead of assuming. Did not want to take the car out and drive and were not familiar with the area anyway. Ended up ordering Papa John's delivery. There were some stray hairs here and there along table surfaces and counter space, but no huge deal. Just grossed teenage girls out. LOL. I wasn't too excited that the bathroom had no exhaust fan and expected a steamy after shower bathroom experience, however ended up pleasantly surprised that that was not the case. Did not like the location for going out to get a look at late night Chicago life. We went out walking after the concert and eating as the girls really wanted to get a feel of late night, busy Chicago. We definitely found that this was not the best area for this, quite a lengthy walk resulting in blisters galore and giving up. : ) But the easy to and from Soldier Field was great!!

Hotel has great location, very nice accomodations.
There was broken glass in the bar and I cut my finger pretty badly on our first night at the hotel. Although hotel staff was very nice and they did call security, I thought they could have done more in way of compensation. In hindsight, I probably needed stitches and other than call to my room by the manager (who had already left by the time we got back to the room), they really didn't even follow-up.

Location, bedding, quiet.
Room layout, very small, bathroom a terrible design, Mirror in room unusable - blocked by chair, room too small for the furniture. The renovation was nothing more than a redo of a very old room.
Everything, very nicely updated in a great area of town. wonderful service and staff.
Musty smell in the whole room since the bathroom didn't have a vent.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is very good. There is free wi-fi, although I had some difficulty in connecting to it. The bed was comfortable.
When I checked in at approximately 7pm, i.e., well after the 3pm check-in time, I opened the door to my room, and was hit with a wall of cleaning product fumes. Without so much as setting down my bag, I returned to the front desk, and was propmtly given a different -- and larger -- room. Cudos for handling that. However, the bathroom in the second room was not clear -- there was visible hair on several surfaces and dust on the shelves. I elected not to further complain and wiped the bathroom down myself.
Not much shelf space in bathroom
