This motel has been recently renovated, and was very well done. It is clean, bright, cheerful, and extremely quiet and peaceful. It would appeal to anyone who enjoys kayaking, canoeing, or someone wanting to simply relax, wander around, (or cycle around) and enjoy the peacefulness of a quaint, old town atmosphere. There was nothing about the motel we didn't like. However, there really is not a whole lot to do in Everglades City. It can, however, be a good "jumping off" point, to stay for a reasonable price, and to check out the surrounding areas.
Plesantly surprized...Only 2 stars but was everything we needed..Floors and bathroom looked new the room was big and had a table, frig and microwave and was located near the things we wanted to do.Also to our surprize there were excellant reataurants in this little town
Front desk very helpful with local info. Free bicycles. Newly renovated.
Bathrooms very nicely updated. Large rooms. Friendly staff. Internet slow to connect.
Modern refurbished room with large king size bed, very comfortable. Fatastic shower and bathroom. Don't be fooled by the plain looking exterior.
very clean ,good value for money, excellent location, friendly helpful staff. overpowerind smell of disinfectant , dispersed by having all doors and windows open.
No closet. Noisy a/c. Quick to repair an issue with a/c which never cycled off high fan speed. Excellent prime rib special.
Beautiful grounds, location, in Everglades, close to Marco Island, Miami. Many family and nature oriented adventures.
I only stayed an overnight to run the Everglades Half Marathon. The unit was very cute and in great shape. Maureen "Mo" at the front desk was very friendly, even when I locked myself out at 5:30 in the morning.
Neat place with great location for exploring the glades. Room was very comfy, nice beds, shower, etc. Very quiet. Staff at the on site restaurant were very friendly. A great place if it fits what you are after, which it did for our needs. Front dek staff was hard to come by in mornings and evenings (which we had read before going). Check in is from 3-5 PM, no kidding, otherwise your key is in a lockbox out front. We never actually spoke to a front desk person the whole trip as we left around 7:00 and returned after 5:00.
I loved the customer service at the desk, she was really friendly and personable. The location was awesome! Right on the river front next to a pier, and the room's private screened deck was a bonus! The room was clean and had a kitchen! The bed was a little hard, but everything else made up for it!
Location! Screened in back porch looking at water. Nice to have separate bedrooms and full kitchen for this price. Good overall value. Owner was not super accommodating and not friendly which is always preferable.
