The wood is called Osterskov, and here in this beautiful area, the new Hotel Amerika, BW Signature Collection is situated. You may find it mysterious to come across Amerika here on the outskirts of Hobro, but the explanation is that, approximately 100 years ago, a man returned to Hobro after having lived in America for a number of years. He had earned a sum of money over there and he built some houses at Osterskov. Therefore, when people visited him here, they always said that they were going to Amerika. The hotel owner has put a lot of work and shown great care for details in the tasteful furnishing of the hotel. It was crucial to find exactly the right materials, and, therefore, the curtains for example had to be bought as far away as in Italy. Outdoors, nature has been so generous to provide beautiful surroundings. You will experience this when visiting the restaurant because from here you can enjoy the view over the wood in its many green nuances.
