I couldn’t find the location and no shuttle to the location of the car. The website description makes it seem as though it’s the airport area. It is not. Tried to call the facility but no answer. Ended up getting a rental from hertz which provides transportation to car rental area. DONT PURCHASE FROM THIS VENDER.

We had to call from the airport twice to get a pickup to the rental location which was 10 minute ride . Once there we found out that they did not recognize our insurance and I had to pay $260 for insurance . This now made my rental car more expensive than what was at the airports . Drop off went smooth , but we were dropped off at the rental location other than airport drop off for the airport .

Very bad. We paid by card $14 for two days, but when we went to get the car they ask us to pay 7 times this price plus $150 as a deposit. Why not to tell us the truth from the beginning, so we know the exact price. I am asking for paying me back the $14.

Kayak did not inform me who I am getting the car rental with. When I arrived at the airport, I learnt that the "airport car rental pickup" was not at the airport but a shuttle ride away. This should have been communicated to be at the time of making the reservation. Unlike any of the other car rentals, Green Motion asked me for a very high security deposit of €2,400 for a 1 day rental. I had no option but to pay it because the booking for pre-paid. This was not a great experience and given that I had booked through Kayak, I should have been communicated this information at the time of making the reservation.

Pick up and drop off was easy. I used toll road and notified them upon return. No issues just paid the toll fee. Overall very good experience.

We were unable to pick up the car on the night we arrived due to issues on their end. They canceled our reservation and kept the more the $1,200. We had to book again the next day for close to $1,500. They stole a lot of money from us and refused refund, we had to open a credit card charge back which is still ongoing.

They did not allow us to rent the car becuase they didn't believe my 64 year old father (we did the booking in his name and with his card) had held his licence for longer than 5 years. This caused problems for my wedding day (which I explained to the agent from Sixt) but they still refused to help me. Please do something so that customers don't have terrible experiences like this in the future.

Staff were good and allowed me to take the vehicle 30 minutes prior to the time it was technically booked.

Cons:

The signage for car rental drop-off at Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Istanbul is utterly atrocious. I appreciate this is not likely the fault of Avis, but I literally drove around the complex for 20 minutes trying to find it.

Your site has failed my trust. You sold me a Allianz Global Assistance insurance. Policy: Rental Car Protection. Policy No.: EUSP2109505133. Budget did not recognize this insurance and said it was null and void as far as they are concerned. They made me sign a disclaimer that I have not purchased any insurance and that all accidents will be paid by me. Your company is promoting misleading insurance products, you are deceiving customers

There was not an office at the airport. The website was misleading and said there was. The car was DIRTY upon pickup. There was a burned cigarette in the back seat. The attendant told me they did not have time to clean the car. Drop off was TORTURE. There was not anyone at the airport to receive the car. We called Ismail many times and he wouldn’t answer and when he did he was extremely rude and disrespectful. He REFUSED to come and get the car from us! He told us to leave the keys in the car and leave. I was not able to get a receipt or final walk through. I felt like he was scamming me to get the insurance money. I alerted the police at the airport.
