the location for the site seeing
taxi can't drop you off in front of hotel as it is on a closed square; so they drop you off about a block away.staff was excellent. room very comfortable. hotel within walking distance of lots of sites.
Location, Location, Location....couldn't be beat especially for the value!
Coffee was not free after breakfast. The lobby is very small but it was manageable. Mattress was a bit hard.I would highly recommend this hotel to folks who want to be in the pulse of central London with very close access to the tube, SoHo, Chinatown, Leicester Square and Covent Garden. The location could not be beat for the price! I would stay here again in a heart beat. The noise from the square was well buffered. And even though there is a nightclub right next door, I could not hear any outside noise when in my room and in the hallways.

Good but hotel didnt care abiut guest when executing noisy reformation in rooms at 8:00am!
A very attractive building in a very good location. There's easy, walking access to museums, theaters, Houses of Parliament, University of London, etc.. It is, however, an expensive area of an expensive...and beautiful...city.

This was quite a nice surprise! Very stylish and clean. The staff were all excellent!
It was very, very hard to find. We stopped at two other hotels to ask where it was and they hadn't even heard of it. Most people think it's just a restaurant.

Designed to be a contemporary vibrant and festive hotel, this W sorely lacked in almost every area. The Spa Suite was the singular most uncomfortable room I've ever had the displeasure of suffering in my many years on the road. My wife was literally in tears upon the shock of the discomfort and poor design of the room. Clearly, the intent for the design is spectacular, but the application is horrific. The design begets a complete lack of accomodation for youthful, vibrant partying and all the implications thereof. If one stays up late drinking, as I assume the Hotel encourages by their motif and environment, ones spouse cannot arise earlier to bathe, as one must engage the bedroom lights first, prior to ANY other light activating, effectively waking the sleeping spouse. There is NO 'living' or 'den' area in the suite, effectively making it NOT an actual suite. This spa suite 2 major room areas are only a sleeping area and then a sink/bathtub area, which actually seems LARGER than the '...
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the W Leicester Square. Our teenage boys loved the hotel - very qwerky. The room was comfortable, the bed very comfy and once you got used to the basin being sited in the middle of the bedroom, it was all a room should be.

Tucked between the National Gallery and Leicester Square itself, this four star boutique hotel is the perfect hideaway in the heart of the West End. Cool and clutter-free, with soothing pale leathers and striking original art, there’s a sense of tranquillity rare for a central London hotel. The Leicester Square hotel is a welcome retreat from the hustle of i...

The staff was very polite and helpful. The overall experience, although my stay was short, was very positive. My trip was for business, but I would come back to this hotel for a vacation stay.
The hotel is centrally located to the theatres and restaurants. The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were extremely helpful and nice. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff were fantastic, helpful, and kind. The location is perfect for exploring that part of London, easy walking distance to so many locations: Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, the Embankment, Westminister.
The room, even though considered deluxe is extremely small, but not unexpected for that part of London for the price. Some of the rooms have a great view and we were fortunate to get one of them. It is amazing to watch the people walking at all hours of the day and night toward Leicester Square. The double windows in the bedroom blocked enough of the noise that it wasn't bothersome. The staff can make such a difference in making a stay feel comfortable, and this staff did an excellent job, answering questions, providing information, helping us with bookings, and always greeting us with a smile and a welcome.
The Thistle Piccadily is a very nice older hotel in a great location. The rooms are nicely appointed and the staff is excellent. We stayed six nights and will most likely stay there again on our next trip to London. If you like old world charm and reasonable rates, then this is the hotel for you.

The front desk and the bartender (I think she was from Latvia-can't remember her name) were amazing. The location was AMAZING...After flying the red eye from the US they let us check in which was so important!
The location was very good, close to many tourist attractions
The first room floor plan was poorly set up but we were moved to a better planned room by the staff as soon as we asked. Very good P.R.The location was excellent for tourists. The staff were very helpful. The room we were moved to was very comfortable. No complaints. We would stay at this hotel again.
