We offer a warm welcome and traditional rural hospitality to rival all other inns and hotels in Winchester. The Kings Head was built during the heyday of the coaching era in 1810 and the road outside would have been on one of the major arterial routes across the South Coast.Each of our individually designed en-suite bedrooms offers all the comfort and facilities that you would hope to find in a small country hotel whilst retaining an individual atmosphere that guests from Georgian times would recognise. The rooms take their names from previous incumbents of the Hursley Estate right back to when first records began. The Kings Head is a free house and this has allowed us to put together a diverse assortment of local and regional ales and the finest ciders and lagers available. We usually offer a seasonally changing guest beer as well as our regular ales.
