Getting to Budapest by Air
The immense popularity of Budapest as a getaway destination means that flights from the UK to Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) are plentiful. Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air, KLM, Lufthansa and British Airways are amongst the many airlines offering regular flights from Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh and a variety of London airports.

Flights times from the UK to Budapest make a visit very tempting. Direct flights from London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol airports to Ferenc Liszt International Airport take around 2h 45m. Flights from Edinburgh normally include one stop and typically take around 4h 20m.
How to get from the airport to the city centre?
The most efficient way to get from the airport to the centre of Budapest is by bus. The 100E airport bus takes about 45m and costs around 5GBP/$6. Taxis are of course a speedier option and will cost around 20GBP/$25 per person. Uber does not operate in Hungary.
