What’s a KiraVan™, I hear you say? The KiraVan lies at the intersection of art, science, design and technology in the final frontier of land travel. Basically, it’s the most pimped out motorhome known to man. If Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean Claude van Damme went on a group caravan vacation in their retired years, this is the off-road vehicle they would take.

In the final episode of our 3-part series on the future of travel, created by VICE.com’s technology channel, Motherboard, and made possible by KAYAK, host Ben Ferguson checks out the KiraVan and is taken for a test-drive.

Watch the episode here:

Said to be a ‘Swiss Army Knife on wheels’, KiraVan is the creation of polymath designer Bran Ferren, inventor and former president of R&D at Disney’s Imagineering Department, and Co-Founder of LA-based company Applied Minds. Named after his daughter, Kira, the KiraVan is designed to go anywhere on the planet – no limits.

Feeling inspired to take to the open road on your own adventure? While the KiraVan isn’t even remotely available for hire, you can find a hire car for your own off-roading,  or even just some simple inner-city thrills on KAYAK.co.uk.
