booked rooms for staff of my company. they came in late, gave my name. hotel insisted on calling me to verify their reason. then forced me to log into booking site to change names of guests. at time of booking, this should have been an option. the whole things wasted a lot of time late at night before an important day. very frustrating and ridiculous.
Economically priced with only a short walk to the beach. Excellent French bistro on ground floor serves unique breakfast and brunch. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bed was firm, and amenities were functional.
Hot tub was broken, though staff thought it was open. Room was small with outdated décor. Toiletries were limited.
They compp'd me wifi when kayak screwed me on the room.
The price. You must factor in the tax(es) when selecting by price. So, with tax added into it, the rate was still cheaper than the before tax rate of the two other hotels I looked at online.
The front desk personnel. They did their best to be pleasant, however, their impatient demeanor, "you're-bothering-me" mindset was visible in their body language. They need to find another job where they can work independently and not around people. This is "a stay there only if the rate is cheap kind of hotel" - it would not be your first choice.
Service, good beds
Room 2316 (or 2416?) was a shocker for noise - the elevator created an intermittent metallic clang each time it was used throughout the night.
Excelent price (about 45€ per night!) for a hotel placed at ten minutes from Waikiki beach and at five minutes from the main shopping streets in Waikiki. The staff is professional and very kind, the front desk is opened 24/7. The rooms are cleaned every day, and have all the basic comforts (including air conditioning, microwave and a small fridge). Definitely the best hotel if you don't wanna pay too much.
Helpfull staff, good room, clean enougth, many utilities in room (Microwave, refrigerator, cafeteria, TV, hair drier).
Half the rooms in the hotel are apartments that people live in and the other half is for hotel purposes.
I like that it was clean and that you didn't have to walk far to your room. I like that this hotel had a pool. Not all hotels have pools. I like that you didn't have to walk far to get to the elevator unless you wanted to and that you needed a key to get into the elevator and up to your room. Security in that sense made me feel safer, especially when you're traveling alone.
I do not like the parking charges. It is crazy enough that you have to pay for the room. The hotel should make parking for guests staying at the hotel free or very nominal. $14 a day is a pretty high parking charge. If you're staying for five days, the parking can exceed the price of one night's stay. That's rediculous! Also, the check-in for guests is not accomodating to guests. I did not like it that I couldn't pay for the parking charges with my room charge. I had to find a place that would give me cash at a time when banks are closed. I did not have a debit card with a pin number and I couldn't use my credit card to pay for parking. I was tired and I just wanted to lie down and relax but I had to run through hoops first. blah
At walking distance from Waikiki.
Internet access was offered at a certain fee, but when I asked for it, they answered that all the modems were rented and I had to wait for someone to give it back. The air conditioning system was very noisy. They charged me for some calls at toll free numbers (it was written on the contract, I did not notice it).
