Prices are average price per night of stay and may not include taxes and fees. "Total" includes our estimate of the taxes and fees. Please verify the total cost on the provider's site before you complete your reservation. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car hires can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.

More questions or if you have a bad price to report to us
Please send us an email and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.

Nice, the gateway to the French Riviera

Nice is known for its natural beauty, mild Mediterranean climate and a seafront promenade that epitomises the French Riviera. Renowned artists Chagall and Matisse favoured the area for its soft light and picturesque surrounds. The combination of year-round sunshine, old-world opulence, buzzing nightlife, a thriving art scene and some of the best cuisine in France has ensured Nice a place in the top tourist destinations in France.

Markets, iconic beauty and rich local history

Start your stay in Nice with a stroll along the iconic, palm-lined, Promenade des Anglais. Here you can join other visitors to the French Riviera in admiring the crystal clear waters or lounging on a deck chair. The promenade is particularly stunning around sunset. Once you cross the pebbly beaches of Nice it’s possible to enjoy a swim in the blue waters, but for sand between your toes, try a private beach or the nearby towns of Antibes, Cannes and Villefranche-sur-Mer. A panoramic view over Nice, the Baie des Anges and the port can be gained from Parc du Chateau, a rocky outcrop holding the remains of the 16th century Tour Bellada. Take a wander through living history in Vieux Nice, the old quarter, with its old-world charm and maze of tiny streets.

Delve deeper into the past at the fascinating Musée de Paléontologie Humaine de Terra Amata which investigates life on the Riviera 400,000 years ago through a range of prehistoric artefacts. Get in touch with the artistic influences of the area and view the collection of Nice School, New Realism and Pop Art on display at the Musée d’Art Moderne Contemporain. The Musée Matisse is also worth a visit and houses a number of the artist’s works and personal effects. Often regarded as one of the best attractions in the city, the Cours Saleya Flower Market offers a myriad of cafes, souvenir shops and stands packed with amazing produce and flowers. You might even find some Socca, a chickpea crepe-like treat that is a specialty of the region.

Hotels and holiday accommodation

Nice has the second largest hotel capacity in France and is one of the most visited cities. As such, there are many options when it comes to finding accommodation. There is a range of hotels located near the airport, however, this requires a bus or taxi trip to town so is best considered for short stays. Within the town a selection of modern and traditional French hotels are on offer, and holiday apartments can be found in the old quarter. A number of cheap hostels and mid-range hotels provide comfortable and affordable rooms and for those wishing to splurge, four-star hotels are in abundance.

Nice Airport and Beyond

is the busiest airport in France outside Paris and also serves as the airport to the Principality of Monaco. Frequent flights run to Paris, most major European cities, New York and Canada. The two terminals are situated at the western end of the Promenade des Anglais with express buses running between the airport and two main train stations. Alternatively, a fifteen minute walk from the airport will get you directly to Nice-Saint-Augustin train station, convenient for onward trips to Nice, Monaco, Antibes or Cannes. Like all major towns on the French Riviera, Nice has its own local bus network. This is great for local routes, however, tourists may find the TAM inter-urban network more useful, with connections to all the eastern Riviera towns and many villages.
