All was great until I reviewed my credit card statement. Charged twice in different amounts for the rental between two offices. Germany & Croatia. Tried to contact SIXT and it wasn't clear who to call. Disputed the charge through credit card holder. Waiting for their results.

Pros:

Could not cancel the trip when the wrong date was booked. Was forced to pay $125 for a one day rental as they would not honor the original rate. Saw many others at this location getting scammed by the front desk. I will never go to Sixt again. I ended up wasting over $250. Horrible experience

Cons:

Clearly define cancelation policies. Allow for immediate cancelation or within 2 hours of dates were incorrect. Sixt was not friendly and clearly trying to get money out of every customer

Nice, clean car.

Cons:

They tried to sell us additional (expensive) insurance and insisted I sign a contract in Croatian (which I do not speak). I had to ask for a contract in English.

This was a scam. Deceptive marketing with hidden fees and predatory practices on the consumer. I canceled reservation onsite , didn’t take the car and will never use them or affiliate rental companies. I will never recommend them.

Online your able to pay with an American Express Card. When you get there after a long flight and a a long drive from Mimai Airport to get there....they tell you we do not accept American Express cards. Mr and two other customers went through the same thing...there was a lot of upset people in the same boat...yelling, arguing. I will never use them again! Stop accepting American Express online for carwiz!

Didn´t rent the car because there was hidden costs (mandatory protections) that were not clear in the booking process. I was fooled by you all. Lost my money.

long wait times on both ends-- took over an hour to wait in line and sign the paperwork. the car itself was great and had no problems! however also had difficulty returning the keys-- no one was at the desk and eventually just had to leave it with someone

The word experience in my life, I will notify all my subscribers about them that is a ripoff. Wasn’t able to pick up my car , wasn’t able to cancel the service ,feel completely unprotected as a customer , never ordering again

The only thing we liked about the car rental was the car. The service was horrible! They charge you 20 euros extra for cleaning the car even though the car you received was not washed. The car was a diesel, which is supposed to have the addativ adblue which would last you 20000kms. We had to add that which cost me another 20 euros which they would not refund. They charged 1300euros deposit which I hope they have refunded. I personally feel that kayak should remove them from your offerings. Also I hope you can refund me the additional charges that were not part of the deal!

They kept trying to charge my card at check in for things I did not know about, I refused their insurance multiple times and they kept trying to charge me for it, they told me the deposit was $102 but instead it was $1200 which i did not see until i got the receipt so I was not properly informed about what i was paying. I am still not sure what I paid because they have not provided a proper receipt and kept trying to charge me for random things.

My online car rental reservation process was smooth and hassle-free. However, upon arrival at the airport and visiting the Europa booth, we were met with a concerning issue. No staff members were present to assist us, even though we arrived just before their official closing time of 10:30 pm. We patiently waited for their arrival, but when someone finally showed up, there was no acknowledgment of our wait, and no sign of apologetic behavior. To our astonishment, we were informed that we had to pay an additional 35 Euros due to our supposed late arrival. This experience left us deeply dissatisfied with the overall customer service provided by the company. Regrettably, we cannot recommend using their services in the future.
