Wichita is a fairly easy city to navigate, so many visitors prefer to rent cars and set their own pace when it comes to traveling. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty all have counters in the main terminal and the rental cars are located next to the short-term parking lot. This is one of the most affordable and convenient ways to get around Wichita.

Public/Ground Transfer

Wichita's public bus system makes hourly runs to the airport. Westside Connector runs every hour from 7am to 6pm on Saturday and 6am to 6pm during the rest of the week. Fares are $1.25 for adults, 60¢ for Seniors, and $1 for children under 18. Transfers are free and special discounted day passes start at $3.

Airport Shuttles

Elite Shuttle and EMU Express both offer airport shuttle service to Wichita downtown. Those needing shuttle service to outlying communities can use Border to Border Shuttle Service. Shuttle service does come with a fee that is slightly lower than taxi service, and the ride can be slower because additional passengers, particularly businesses, may be picked up along the way for a reduced fare.

Limousine Services

Executive Limousine offers limousine service to and from Wichita Mid-Continent Airport. Limo service is a luxury and usually comes with ice cold beverages, surround sound, soothing lighting, televisions, and plenty of privacy. While it can be nice to be in a roomy vehicle after a long flight, limousine service is more expensive. Limousine service with Executive Limousine starts at $74 for a ride of less than one hour. Two hour rates start at $136. Other companies offering limousine service are Artistic Limousine and S & S Limousine, but most passengers find Executive Limousine's rates to be highly competitive.

Taxi Services

ABC Cab Company, American Cab, and Best Cabs are all licensed to transport passengers to and from Wichita Mid-Continent Airport. Taxis are located right outside of the main terminal on Taxi Cab Lane. Taxi cab service is quick and easy. Taxis can bring passengers directly to their destination, but the fares are higher than public service options. Taxi rates average $30 one-way.
