Kind of old and grungy. The rooms were clean, but the building was rundown. The breakfast was skimpy.
Location right off highway 26 was good. the staff was friendly
Wi-Fi did not work in my room. I had to go to the hallway. When I asked about it they said they were having trouble with it in that area. They were not full, so don't put people in rooms in that area.Probably your 3rd choice of hotels of this level in Madras. Except for the Wi-Fi, everything was just OK. The breakfast was just OK. The rooms were just OK. Probably 2 other hotels in the area were better for about the same money. With a little more effort this hotel could be in that category.
The rooms were good and also we found some places to eat nearby
The wifi was down in the room for the night and the person at guest services did not suggest to try to connect to one of the other routers they had, we had to wait until the next day when a different person started her shift and explained it to usThe hotel was good but do not expect to half a full breakfast as it is advertised. I consider I paid a lot of money considering that I had a better deal with priceline in another city for a similar hotel.
No ability to choose type of room/upgrade. You get what you get. Single king room. When I bid on Priceline, I put in 6 people (2 adults, 4 youth),and bid for two rooms, assuming at a minimum we could get two doubles. 3 people/bed. At least it was a kingFront desk employee seemed a little frazzled at trying to check in 2 people at once and answer phone. I get that. However, because she was busy, she was short and not what I typically expect from a receptionist at a hotel, who are usually at a minimum friendly/welcoming. All that said, I guess you get what you pay for. There was nothing to be had for love or money in Bend on Priceline on a Sat. night in the summer the week of, so staying 45 min. north in Madras at the Econolodge was what fit our budget. It's adequate. But if you can afford XXX-XXX room more, I would definitely do it, it would be worth it to get a slightly better hotel. One tip for Madras: If for some reason you are in the ...
It was clean and comfortable.
The hallways were unfinished, maybe? They were covered but not enclosed. Hard to explain. We just wanted an overnight stop. It was perfect for that. It was clean, newly painted, had coffee and hair dryer. Nice TV and comfortable. In fact, my husband hadn't slept well the whole 10 days we were away from home until the last night in the Econolodge. There was an adequate breakfast to get us on our way. It was also quiet. We would stay there again.
Clean and quiet
The initial appearance was not very goodThe approach to the inside doors of the hotel were very unique, open and airy. I was concerned that the outside appearance caused me some concerns, but when we got to the room I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness. It was a good sized room and had no odors that were offensive. Overall it was a good experience. They need to work on the outside appearance of the hotel, it just seemed old and outdated. I would stay there again.
staff was wonderful
could not get internet in my room even though it advertises wi-fi
room was clean, well laid out, pool was nice. Breakfast was adequate, staff was friendly and helpful without being pushy.
No, everything was as expected for this level.Hotel was very adequate for it's rating. Relaxing and pleasant without bells and whistles.
