Flights to Zurich (Zurich Intl - ZRH)

There are three important discounts that those parking in any of the six parking garages should note. First, anyone spending at least 60CHF (approximately $50 as of 7/2007) in any of the airport restaurants, cafes, or shops receive free parking. Drivers should take their receipts to S. Oliver, the P2 Service Center, Migros, or K Kiosk in the Airport Shopping Building to receive the free parking coupon.

Zürich International Airport offers a "Parking Subscription" card to frequent travelers. The card covers all parking expenses for a period of three months for $241 per month. Interested passengers should call the airport for more information.

Finally, Swiss Touring Club members receive discounts of up to 20% on their parking if they present proof of their membership to the exit booth. The 20% discount is good in all six parking garages, but in the open, discount lot a 10% discount applies.

Please be aware that those speeding in the parking garages will be charged a penalty before leaving the garage. Video cameras are used to monitor driver's behavior. Also, hold onto the garage ticket. Drivers who misplace or lose their parking ticket will pay a $25 fee on top of their parking fees.

Long Term Parking

Long term parking is available in any of the six parking garages and a separate open lot. Rates in garages P1, P2, P3, or P6 start at $32 a day and become discounted the longer one is parked in the garage. The weekly rate (7 days) is $158 and a full month (28 days) costs $440. Parking in Lots P4 or P5 costs $24 for one day, $110 for a week, or $320 for a month. Finally, parking in the open lot costs $24 a day, $84 a week, or $223 for a month. All rates include taxes.

Discount Airport Parking

The open lot does have the lowest long term prices, so those parking for a longer span will find Lot 60 to be the best choice. For hourly parking, it is pretty comparable to the other garages. The main hourly rate is $1.66, and then every hour is an additional 1.66. P4, P5, and Lot 60 offers a discount for four hours with the total price coming to $9.15.

Handicapped Parking

Handicapped passengers can be dropped off in front of either departures or arrivals without issue. There are parking spaces in the first three parking garages (P1, P2, and P3) on the entry-level only. These spots are located closest to the elevators to make things easy for the handicapped traveler. Handicapped parking does not come with a discount, so drivers should be aware that they will be paying full price.

Airport Hotel Parking

Security in the airport garages is not monitored for more than reckless driving. Another option is to park at a nearby hotel and then take their free shuttle service to the airport. Mövenpick Hotel offers a special package that allows passengers to stay for a night and then receive seven free days of parking and the free shuttle service. Other area hotels offer either the Park, Sleep, and Fly program or free shuttle service with discounted parking rates.
