The ‘Virtual Voyage’ is a cutting-edge virtual reality experience where users can put on a leading VR headset (released just last month and powered by the latest virtual reality technology), feel the sand between their toes – for real – and be transported on a virtual reality journey far away to a mystery sun-soaked location.
The 360 degree experience – curated by KAYAK.co.uk – places users right in the middle of the action, with footage from six high-definition cameras filling the user’s entire field of vision and tracking head movements with a gyroscope, orientation sensor and accelerometer. All this comes together to create the illusion of reality and trick the user’s brain into feeling like they really are in the sunny virtual reality world.

- This competition is run by KAYAK Europe GmbH, Fraumünsterstrasse 16, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland.
- Participants must be residents of the UK and at least 18 years of age. Participants must not be affiliated to KAYAK or its PR agencies.
- Only one entry per person is permitted.
- To participate, you must 1) Pick up an entry form at the free VirtualVoyage event on 18th January, 10.30am – 8:00pm at Gallery Different, 14 Percy Street, London W1T 1 DR, 2) Find the cheapest offer on KAYAK.co.uk/holidays, the departure must be London all airports (LON), for 2 travellers, the destination you have to enter must be in Spain, the stay must be one week, the travel dates must be in July 2016, 3) Take two screenshots of the offer you’ve found on KAYAK.co.uk/holidays: one showing the whole page you can see on your screen and displaying clearly the travel dates, and another one showing the actual offer you selected. The screenshots should be clear and readable 4) Copy the URL of the offer 5) Send an email to kayak@3-monkeys.co.uk with your completed entry form, the screenshots, the URL and your contact details (Name, Surname, Birth Date, Address, Telephone number). Screenshots that are not readable and do not seem authentic will not qualify for the contest.
- Participation is free of charge. No purchase or payment is necessary to participate in this competition.
- The competition will begin on 18th January 2016 at 10.30 am GMT and will end on 24th January 2016, at 11.59 pm GMT, and all entries must be received by then to be eligible. The winning screenshots will satisfy the conditions above and show the cheapest offer among the screenshots received and found on KAYAK.co.uk/holidays. In case of a tie between entries displaying the same offer or offers with the same, rounded price as displayed on KAYAK.co.uk/holidays, the winning entry will be drawn at random. The winner will win two round trip flights to anywhere and for a total value including taxes and fees of maximum £225 per ticket and per person. Prize is not transferable or exchangeable. No cash alternative is available for any prize. Prize is supplied “as is” and “as available” with no express guarantee as to their suitability.
- The winner will be notified by email. The winner must confirm acceptance of the prize within fourteen (14) days of notification, otherwise, KAYAK reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries at its sole discretion and the exercise of this right shall be final and will not be explained
