If you start slightly further down the coast at Kiama, you will also get to witness the incredible Kiama Blowhole: a tidal natural phenomenon where huge waves are pulled through a narrow gap in the rocks creating vast plumes of spray.

If you’re starting at the Kiama Blowhole on Day 1, a stopover in Sydney is ideal. You can then drive on to Newcastle on Day 2, followed by Laurieton and Byron Bay on Days 3 and 4. Days 4-5 will take you onto the Gold Coast and up to Brisbane.
