Pros (+) Spacious and clean room, comfortable beds and pillows. Decent breakfast selection, with tapioca, cuscuz, pancakes and waffles prepared on demand along with a selection of fruit juices that was delicious! Nice pool. Location right across from the beach. The hotel also has its own space by the beach, although it didn't include a pool or the tables closest to the ocean.
Cons (-) While it's a famous resort chain, Vila Galé seems to be past its prime. In the time I was completing my check-in, 1 hotel guest mentioned he needed to change room because of a leak, and 2 hotel guests showed up to complain that their room key had stopped working (I experienced that as well: in my 2-night stay, my key had to be reset multiple times). Pros (+) The hotel staff were well trained and mostly friendly and efficient. The beach opposite the hotel is nice.
Cons (-) The property is located in an unsafe area at night. Praia do Futuro is not the best area of Fortaleza. The hotel itself is very old fashioned and needs modernising. It was full and breakfast was chaotic with food of medium quality.
