Everything. We stayed at The Excelsior the second time within 4 months and we again enjoyed staying there very much. Especially the very friendly and excellent help of Artemis, Elisaveta, Pavlos and Adonis were remarkable again. We, for sure, will come back.
The location, the breakfast, the staff was polite and very helpful

Elevator, breakfast and balcony wasnt clean
The location is really great and the building itself is really beautiful, a high-ceiling early 20th century structure. Staff was professional and competent.
It’s an old building that was retrofitted to be made into a hotel. This surely posed some structural challenges that lead to less than ideal solutions. For example, our room (number 25 - junior suite) has a small shower on the left of the entrance and a very small bathroom on the right of the entrance which was very quirky and tight; I felt that it was not up to the level of a junior suite. A beautiful building at a top location, superb breakfast. All requests (late check out, transport, luggage storage) were granted with precision. Most of the staff were experienced, confident and discreetly available. Clochard restaurant at the ground floor is an added bonus.
The view from the junior suite was not particularly pleasant and a very small portion of the staff were trainees or slightly disengaged. I felt I got marginally better value for money at other 5 star hotels in the city with similar rates (such as the Metropolitan Palace or Electra), but that is probably a question of personal taste, leaning towards the stiffer classic instead of the more laid back...Read more
We liked the hotel and staff very much. The service was excellent !
Not comfortable that the bathroom area was separate from the shower & that the towel holders next to the shower were too high and inaccesible. But Artemis said that they will check into this. She was very helpful, as were all the staff
