This flight space was way better than our international flight. Efficient boarding and comfortable
I ended up buying (for $340) "extra space" seats because I my flying partner was given a STY boarding pass, leading me to conclude that she was on standby and that we had to buy seats on the flight. I later learned that the flight was not sold out and that we could have gotten on as usual. To be honest, I felt swindled.
Super uncomfortable. Shoved in like sardines. Overhead bins were tight. Why was coffee charged for? I was insulted. How about an inflight magazine? Why can’t I charge my phone? Maybe the planes are old? They didn’t feel new. Television would have been nice. Bathrooms also very small for anyone not a size 6 or female.
Flight crew was ok but in terms of child-friendliness, no one beats KLM and even most US carriers are better. Economy class got smaller and smaller over the years but still better than AA or Delta. Food was pretty good and pre-boarding with our infant was available.

Another excellent flight and overall experience with Lufthansa. Short flight in a serene atmosphere. Slept throughout the flight. Thank you to the very nice crew.
Treating basic economy customers like untouchable and giving worst services just because we bought that ticket is ridiculous! We were not given option to choose the seat even at the time of checkin, we had to request the boarding staff at the gate as me and my wife were given different seats. She gave us the seats together but after letting us know rudely that they are not supposed to give any services to basic economy customers. Even bag purchase charges were extremely high!!
We were pleasantly surprised to get two meals during the flight that were pretty tasty. However, the seats in Economy are VERY tight for an international flight (10+ hours). It was hard to get comfortable.
