For the price we paid, I couldn’t complain. Was good value for money. Service was excellent but food was mediocre. Crew were excellent and spoke English. You will never go hungry. The food was ample but was mediocre. Entertainment limited and wifi doesn’t all allow you to access some social media. The best part was comfortable seats and bed (business class) with a screen to close out the rest of the cabin.

Great staff and food. Seats pretty uncomfortable but plenty of legroom. Entertainment system outdated.

Flight was fine, however we were not able to check in online, this adds to travel stress. Luckily check-in at Heathrow was quick, but we did not get the seats we paid extra for. We paid for a window and 2 aisle seats from Shanghai to Tokyo leg, but they changed us to middle seats. Not good :(

It was my birthday while I was on the flight on China eastern airlines. They celebrated my day by giving me a personalized birthday card and also a very delicious pastry. I was surprised and thankful by the China Eastern crew! The whole staff was kind and professional? My second flight into China and the most memorable! Thank you-

Couldn’t fly since they wouldn’t issue a boarding ticket. Something to do with not taking the departing flight since it was cancelled due to weather. No notice or anything about the trip being invalid. The app made it seem like I was all good for it. Never trusting travel agency

Multiple delays, with no explanation. Caused us to almost miss our connector. The airline made no effort when we arrived in Shanghai to help us make it to our next flight with the same airline.

Cons: "Wifi was terrible, entertainment is below average and angle seats for a 12 hour flight is sub par. The food was so so"
Pros: "Dated entertainment on the inside televisions and some of the headphones and movies were hard to understand because of the audio quality. But the bottom line was I couldn’t find a cheaper flight for my trip and overall I look for savings and my airfare."
Cons: "Customer service from the flight crew was pretty dry, my biggest complaint though was that there was very much stagnant air quality and no ventilation at HC location like I am normally a custom on most other planes."
Pros: "My flight was canceled but the ground crew was amazing I was really worried but China Eastern's ticket people were very professional! Highly recommend."
Cons: "The flight to Shanghai was delayed and I missed the coincidence, the crew did not explain much, I was rerouted and I arrived with 13 hours delay"

The flight was delayed for almost 5 hours, but I understand that it was not up to the company, however how they could handle the situation better, they never apologized for that delay, moreover despite passengers being there for 7 hours only thing they did was to give a bowl of instant noodles, afterwards on the plane tiny snacks, people were there starting from lunch time and we’ve arrived to destination at almost midnight

Cons: "Even for business class there is no TV screen on each seat. Just one small TV screen on the ceiling for a few rows to share. It would be much better with TV screen on each seat. I was sitting in the first row business class and the air hostess skipped me and didn’t give me a slipper. She gave me a used slipper at the end only without a packet. This is unprofessional to treat a business class passenger"

Pros: "Boarding was a breeze, flight attendant onboard we attentive, choice of food orders at least two (in business class, can’t speak to first or main cabin passengers.) Flew from LA to Tokyo. Coming back from Hong Kong to LA. Fantastic flights, will use them again."
Pros: "Very frustrated experience. Air China, air Canada, budget air, all push responsibilities away. Budget air got my name wrong, too, which would have caused me to not be able to get on the original flight from China anyways."
Cons: "Still I have not been able to get someone to fix my problem for me although I was promised that I could postpone my return flight by one day because of the delay at Victoria airport. Ended up having to buy a return ticket by myself."
Pros: "The crew was super helpful and amazing! Comfortable seats and plenty of space for someone my size to sit (5’4”)."
Cons: "The only thing that I think could be better is the entertainment. I had a hard time figuring out how to use the screen on the aircraft but the selection of shows was good."
