Top tips for finding cheap flights to Patagonia

  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Patagonia flight deals.
  • Ushuaia-Malvinas Argentinas International Airport (USH), or Ushuaia Airport, is the principal terminus for flights to Patagonia. The region occupies the southern tip of the South American continent between the countries of Chile and Argentina and the airport is used as a hub by Aerolineas Argentinas.
  • Aerolineas Argentinas operates flights with stopovers from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Ushuaia Airport. In conjunction with Alitalia, these flights will stop first at Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO) in Rome and then at Ezezeia Pistarini Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires. From there, cross-city transfers are necessary to Aeroparque Jorge Newberry Airport (AEP) in order to continue on to Ushuaia.
  • KLM also offers flights to Patagonia originating from London Heathrow Airport, also with stopovers involved. The first leg of your flight will land at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS), from where the second leg is destined for Ezezeia Pistarini Airport with a final connection to Ushuaia Airport.
  • Ushuaia Airport is located at the extreme southern end of Patagonia in Ushuaia, which is the capital of Tierra del Fuego. The two closest major cities to Ushuaia are Punta Arenas in Chile (connect via Carlos Ibanez del Campo Airport (PUQ)) and Rio Gallegos in Argentina (connect via Norberto Fernandez Airport (RGL)).
  • If your flight lands late and you are seeking accommodation near Ushuaia Airport, there are a few options to consider. Lennox Hotels Ushuaia is located near Beagle Channel, about 10min by car from the airport, and Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort is another property about 1 mi away. Canal Beagle Hotel is another nearby affordable option.

I had an 9 hr layover continuing on to Ushuaia. I expected to have to get my luggage & do customs but I did not expect Aerolinas Argentinas to make me sit with all of my luggage for 7 hours in the entrance part of the airport before they would let us re-check our bags & get back in where there are seats. People were sitting on the floor everywhere.

Aerilineas changed my airport from aero parque to Ezeiza and didn’t take care of my transport. Seats were mediocre and ground personal weren’t very helpful. Too bad that’s the only option to fly to El calafate. Bad service, bad company

Better snacks options for a 3.25 hour flight . There was only 1 choice - a fruit granola bar .

I liked the airport and aircraft crew. I disliked the fact that I and TSA pre check approved but this airline is not affiliated to the program. I was 4 hours befor departure and I barely made it to the gate. The airline does not allow to buy extra luggage online. After waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes to check in my luggage I had to do another line to pay my luggage with another hour of waiting. Only one airline person to process payment. This is ridiculous and I saw so many elderly people struggling in line waiting long hours.

everything, disorganized, the flight was delayed an hour and twenty minutes without any explanation

Terrible, terrible, terrible

Boarding was efficient and painless. Food was not supplied. It will be good if some chips or biscuits can be provided.

I flew with a baby and the crew at night from Bs As to Atlanta were super helpful!

As with all Aerolineas Argentinas flights, check-in was terrible. They have a system where all international flights (or other multiple-flight categories) check in together, so the airport is very crowded, the lines are very long, and checkin takes forever. Online checkin was not available to me. There was no entertainment. Food was edible but mediocre. However, all of the staff (onboard as well as in the airport) were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent flight and service. Food, main course and dessert are good but 1st course very bad. I didn't like the breakfast. Needs something as cheese or fruit. Or at least a good quality croissant.

They offered food. The crew passed by again offering water. I enjoyed the two seating section. I think is very comfortable instead of the three seat way, unless you seat in the middle; which it's not bad, but I wouldn't prefer. All and all, I think the lay out of the seating rows are better than other airlines so far( I haven't tried many anyways). The lay out makes the getting in and out to use the restroom less uncomfortable and cramped. First time flying with Latam. I will fly with them again

I do not read or speak in Spanish. Only English. When asking for help, the people spoke quickly in English and pointed a lot. I wish they would’ve spoken a little slower for me to understand. There was much confusion and hurried in their message and I was unclear as to where to go

Everthing ok , crew very nice but but we had a bad experience with the wheel chair we had to wait too much for the chair, my husband couldn’t walk and he was in lot of pain , LATAM has to take care of that

Not very good, they nickel & dime you for better seats & pay extra for the checking in bag, bad service all the way around

I loved how polite the crew was even though some of them wasn't the best with English that they still done everything they could to help me with my needs food was amazing

the flight from Boston to Curitiba was on time actually 30 minutes earlier. latam was not able to unload the luggage for custom checkup in Sao Paulo ii took two and half hours . i missed the flight to Curitiba spend the night in hotel and then flying in the morning to Curitiba

Very unprofessional staff in the checking and boarding. There was no space for my carry-on bag, which is understandable for a full flight. However, the rudeness in answering my questions about my bag were unnecessary. Shaming and threatening a passenger to be left behind was something I had never experienced (I am 57 years old and a Skymiles member) before. At a minimum, the boarding staff (Krystal Mejia and her manager Dee) should undergo further training on cultural sensitivity and professional skills on speaking with passengers. Krystal, just because I have dark hair and “look Latina” does not mean I can speak Spanish. Your assumption and threatening words until the very ending of my boarding (door of the airplane) were not only unnecessary and stressful but something that a passenger should not experience before boarding.

The flight was overbooked and the solution gave was unrespctful. I arrived 4 hour in advance in the airport and only after 2hous was possible suggest a different ticket with another company LATAM, I have accepted, but when I was checking in at LATAM the tickets was issued without luggage, what it is absurd since I have bought my tickets including it since the beginning. Due to the timing for the next flight was not possible return to Avianca to claim due to the distance between Both companies Avianca and Latam since were located in different terminals. I have insiste to the crew of Latam to call Avianca to solve it, but they could help they were alleging that only paying a thousand pesos Mexicans ($1,000 MXN) to dispatch my luggage would be accepted and I have no money at all. So I had to beg for others passagens, it was an humiliating to exchange luggage with who was platinum in order to return back the luggage in the connection airport in Brazil (GRU). I have no clue that a judicial process would be taken from my side due the lots of stress in sequence by the non professional treatment with a passenger that was just following everything said by Avianca.. Long hours of waiting until next flight and only arrive at final destine in 6hs later..

Cons: "I needed to change my ticket and Kayak had another agency issue the ticket. Kayak does not change tickets and the third party and the airline said only Kayak could make the change. Having to purchase a whole new ticket from the airline, save the money and frustration and avoid Kayak and just book directly with the airline. The ticket would have and should have been changed with no fees. $325 lesson learned."
Pros: "The free middle seat because the flight was not full."
Cons: "Bigger glass for wine"
