The Slaviero Slim Centro offers multiple amenities in the heart of Curitiba. Situated right in the Centro district of Parana's (one of Brazil's southernmost states) capital city, this 7-floor hotel is close to many attractions. The Museu de Arte Contemporanea is just 1 block away. You can check out Brazilian artists' modern creative works.
Curitiba is a socially progressive university town, and its rapid bus system is an international model for innovative urban planners. There's even a bus line designed just for tourists. You can catch the Linha Turismo at Praca Tiradentes, an easy 5-minute stroll from the Slaviero Slim. The bus stops at over 20 attractions. Pay once, and you can get off and re-board at 4 of the sights.
In the mood for people watching? Less than a 10-minute walk away is Rua das Flores, one of the oldest pedestrian-only streets in the city. Sidewalk cafes offer outside seating, where you can sit and see street performers busking for coins. (Toss them some change before you leave.) Back at the hotel, you can keep up with your workout schedule in the fitness room. Eateries abound near the hotel, but you can enjoy an international meal or drinks on site at Bar e Restaurante Getulio. In the mornings, the eatery offers a complimentary breakfast.
When you're settled in for the night, you can look out at the city view, or log onto the wireless Internet access (complimentary throughout the hotel) to read your local newspaper online. You can crack open the minibar for a nightcap and catch a movie on TV. Parking is available on-site (surcharge).
