I've been coming to the Hilton Waikoloa for 20 years whenever I visit friends and family on the Big Island so that we can have a day at "Big Island Disney Land". Pros (+) Good location. The room was nice, with a very comfortable bed. The lagoon was convenient and enjoyable to swim in.
Cons (-) My room was the last room in the Ocean Tower next to the construction and was very noisy. I traveled alone and was there for a conference so I didn't request to switch rooms, which I would have done if I had my family with me. There were many choices for meals but I had my best meals off property at the King's & Queen's markets. I was disappointed there wasn't an ocean beach on their property. Had...

Pros (+) Very nice rooms, the place is huge and took over 10 minutes to walk to the room, but they have a tram that cuts that in half. It was very family oriented with beautiful grounds and pools and a cool lagoon and a few nice restaurants.
Cons (-) We were woken up our first morning to the sound of jack hammers and construction. They are still working on the east end of the building. They did move us to a room away from the construction that was quiet. It is also very large commercial with an almost Disney land feel.
