Our study explored Brits’ favourite locations for the different elements of the ‘Journey of Love’, from holiday flings and marriage proposals, to breaking-up with a partner and mending a broken heart. Here’s a quick look at what we discovered:
- Venice is the top location amongst Brits for a holiday fling (18%)
- Paris is the ideal destination for a marriage proposal (24%)
- Barbados is the preferred spot to elope to (24%)
- The Maldives is Brits’ favourite wedding destination (18%)
- Ibiza is the location where people are most likely to break-up with a partner (48%)
- New York is where Brits would flee to in order to get over broken heart (21%)
It also looked at some of the motivations behind the choices, unveiling that 6% of us would choose a marriage destination based on how jealous it’s likely to make our friends. We’ve also put together this handy infographic to help guide you through these love destinations here
