The location, and the service and cocktails at the bar were great.
Our first night we stayed in a room close to the elevator, and the bell was disruptive. The valet service was slow and very expensive ($42 per day).
I liked the lobby. Water pressure in shower was amazing.
It was old. My room smelled damp the whole time I went to walgreens to buy fabreeze. The carpet was torn and tatty looking. The sink had a visible crack in it. On my last day when I turned the knob it came off. Ironing board had stains on it. Hotel just really needs a makeover and move into the 20th century of amenities at least.

Like the friendly staff from the front desk
It was not service at the pool And the service at the bar on the 17th floor
The amazing and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comforting. The balconies provided privacy from the neighboring balconies.
It takes too long to be reimbursed for the money deducted for incidentals at check-in.

Everything else. Old stinky carpets, nasty bathrooms, dusty curtains and so many other things. It is the single worst experience in hotels in my lifetime.
Convenient with lots of shuttles to/from airport
wet patches on carpet in room, beds felt a bit old

Great Hotel Overall! Staff was very nice and accommodating. Loved the minimalist rooms and the roof top pool/club. Ask the front desk for the Uber cab promo code to get 30.00 in free cab fares for first time app. users.
Definitely a adult only hotel. There were people running the halls until 6am.
Not very much
The staff was unfriendly. The hotel was shabby. Overall a very bad value. I won't ever waste my money there again.

The great Italian restaurant--Papparazi, the beautiful pool and jacuzzi, the comfortable rooms, Starbucks on premises, the concierge who scheduled massages for my daughter and me. All in all, a wonderful experience.
Good price value. Good service and food.
Rediculous to pay $38 for Valet parking and car was outside and not even in parking garage.

Poor finish of decor, smell, aged elevators.
Moved us to a different room after we found bed bugs.
Asked for a quiet room multiple times (upon reservation, check-in) only to end up directly across (3 fee) from the cardio room. Even worse, found bed bugs in our filthy room. We are convinced they put us there because we purchased a pre-paid room via Kayak. The room they switched us to was so much cleaner.

One of the worst hotels I've ever been in.
Restaurant was horrible. Room stunk. Gross gross gross and parking is an extra $19.
I liked the location and that's it.
This hotel has two buildings, one is old the other is new. We stayed at the old one and it was horrible. The window inside our hotel did not have proper curtains for us to close to have privacy. It was sheer material so everyone can see from the outside in. The beds were UNCOMFORTABLE. This was definitely not worth the money. I stayed at the Windgate by Wyndham nearby the next day for about the same price and was SOO much better.

I thought being the Westin that we could expect a nice room but this stay was a disappointment. I know being by an airport the location might not be nice but this location is actually more Inglewood and not Los Angeles. The room was dirty and there was hair on the floor and in vanity. It looked like it hadn't even been cleaned.
The hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport and accords you all the facilities under one roof. Although it's slightly dated, the rooms were impeccably maintained and very spacious. The real selling point of the hotel is its front desk reception team. Throughout my stay and across shifts they were excellent and accommodating. No request was too much for them. The hotel being parallel to both the main runways makes for a very quiet stay. It has a fantastic view of one of the runways (should you wish to gaze planes taking/off and land from your bed) or if you prefer city views it has that too. One other major thing to note is that if the hotel is not fully booked they are flexible to do 1/2 day rates(6pm checkout) on the spot after 1 night stay at a reasonable cost which is very helpful for evening/night flights out of LAX.

I like the style of this hotel overall, I think they can updated the hallways as well, it doesn't match the restaurant and lobby feel.
The bathroom was a little yucky. I would describe the atmosphere in room as "dry", felt like I had to wake up several times to drink water. The pool area is small, for families I think that is perfect but to lounge around it doesn't feel right.
I like the convenience of the location and the friendliness of the staff.
No major dislikes.

The free breakfast buffet was outstanding and would make me go again.
The room with the computers was freezing.Beautiful inside.
They put is in a room that was below standard. Down a hallway, around a corner. It was more like a motel room than what I have come to expect at Embassy. When asked to change rooms, they said we could for a charge. After deciding to stay in the room and taking a shower that never got hot, I called the front desk and stated the issue. they agreed to switch our room. the new room was more of what I expect from Embassy. Clean, roomy and nice. I do not know why we were put in the 1st room but it has tarnished my experience with Embassy suites.

Star gazing in Los Angeles
Los Angeles is the home of Mulholland Drive, Hollywood, The Lakers, gangs, balmy weather, beaches and celebrities. Known for its incredible creative energy, Los Angeles is a mecca for tourists wanting to soak up the sunshine and slot some celebrity spotting into their shopping itinerary. The list of things to see and do is exhaustive, museums alone would take days to cover. But the beauty of a visit to Los Angeles is the opportunity to tailor a trip to suit even the fussiest traveller.
Beaches, beautiful people and Sunset Boulevard
Visit Venice Beach and its local skateboarders, radical pamphleteers and bodybuilders for a taste of the more eccentric side of LA. Baywatch fans might prefer a trip to Santa Monica pier and beach, but pack a lunch - the food and drink here come with a hefty price tag. Offset the expense by getting around on foot or hire a bicycle to explore the rest of the Santa Monica area. Amble along the Hollywood Walk of Fame and keep an eye out for some real live celebrities along Rodeo Drive. While you’re on Rodeo Drive reenact a scene from Pretty Woman and browse high end boutiques with the serious big spenders. Continue the tour of famous streets and take a scenic drive along Sunset Boulevard, lined with palm trees, clubs, bars and restaurants.
Although you won’t see much through the continuous smog over the city, the Griffith Observatory is a popular choice for those interested in the connections between people and space. Sure to impress is the architectural feat that is the Getty Centre, which houses a multitude of art from diverse eras and nations. Expand your horizons further with a trip to the Museum of Jurassic Technology and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
For something less scientific, the legendary Disneyland theme park and Magic Mountain are sure winners for adults and children alike and are packed with fun. Sticking with the realm of film and television, a guided golf cart tour of Paramount Pictures studio is a definite crowd pleaser. An escape from the fast-paced lifestyle is easy with Runyon Canyon just two blocks from Hollywood Boulevard and the perfect place to get some exercise while taking in the view over San Fernando Valley and the Pacific Ocean.
Where to stay in LA
The greater Los Angeles metropolitan area is expansive and it pays to book a hotel close to the sights you want to see. Traffic is bad and the freeway is a nightmare so keep this in mind when reviewing your accommodation options. The coastal areas such as Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Marina Del Rey offer seaside ambience and close proximity to the beach. Rooms with an ocean view may be more expensive than rooms in other neighbourhoods. Downtown Los Angeles and Pasadena offer a central location and access to many freeways as well as public transport, so find a hotel here if you plan on travelling by metro or shuttle often. Hollywood and the Sunset Strip are full of things to do and see and can be an exciting place to stay, however this area is also very crowded. Some of the city’s biggest and most expensive hotels are found in Beverly Hills, but it is still possible to find mid-range hotels to suit tighter budgets.
