Prices are average price per night of stay and may not include taxes and fees. "Total" includes our estimate of the taxes and fees. Please verify the total cost on the provider's site before you complete your reservation. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car hires can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.

More questions or if you have a bad price to report to us
Please send us an email and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.

Star gazing in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is the home of Mulholland Drive, Hollywood, The Lakers, gangs, balmy weather, beaches and celebrities. Known for its incredible creative energy, Los Angeles is a mecca for tourists wanting to soak up the sunshine and slot some celebrity spotting into their shopping itinerary. The list of things to see and do is exhaustive, museums alone would take days to cover. But the beauty of a visit to Los Angeles is the opportunity to tailor a trip to suit even the fussiest traveller.

Beaches, beautiful people and Sunset Boulevard

Visit Venice Beach and its local skateboarders, radical pamphleteers and bodybuilders for a taste of the more eccentric side of LA. Baywatch fans might prefer a trip to Santa Monica pier and beach, but pack a lunch - the food and drink here come with a hefty price tag. Offset the expense by getting around on foot or hire a bicycle to explore the rest of the Santa Monica area. Amble along the Hollywood Walk of Fame and keep an eye out for some real live celebrities along Rodeo Drive. While you’re on Rodeo Drive reenact a scene from Pretty Woman and browse high end boutiques with the serious big spenders. Continue the tour of famous streets and take a scenic drive along Sunset Boulevard, lined with palm trees, clubs, bars and restaurants.

Although you won’t see much through the continuous smog over the city, the Griffith Observatory is a popular choice for those interested in the connections between people and space. Sure to impress is the architectural feat that is the Getty Centre, which houses a multitude of art from diverse eras and nations. Expand your horizons further with a trip to the Museum of Jurassic Technology and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

For something less scientific, the legendary Disneyland theme park and Magic Mountain are sure winners for adults and children alike and are packed with fun. Sticking with the realm of film and television, a guided golf cart tour of Paramount Pictures studio is a definite crowd pleaser. An escape from the fast-paced lifestyle is easy with Runyon Canyon just two blocks from Hollywood Boulevard and the perfect place to get some exercise while taking in the view over San Fernando Valley and the Pacific Ocean.

Where to stay in LA

The greater Los Angeles metropolitan area is expansive and it pays to book a hotel close to the sights you want to see. Traffic is bad and the freeway is a nightmare so keep this in mind when reviewing your accommodation options. The coastal areas such as Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Marina Del Rey offer seaside ambience and close proximity to the beach. Rooms with an ocean view may be more expensive than rooms in other neighbourhoods. Downtown Los Angeles and Pasadena offer a central location and access to many freeways as well as public transport, so find a hotel here if you plan on travelling by metro or shuttle often. Hollywood and the Sunset Strip are full of things to do and see and can be an exciting place to stay, however this area is also very crowded. Some of the city’s biggest and most expensive hotels are found in Beverly Hills, but it is still possible to find mid-range hotels to suit tighter budgets.
