Pros: Nothing really to complain at all! Friendly helpful staff who speak English (considering the main languages here are Czech, German and Russian, this no small feat!), the location is perfect and the rooms have a lovely authentic charm without being twee or cramped. Lovely hotel, very romantic.

Cons: Not the most luxurious hotel, doesn't have its own spa facilities, but the other features more than make up for this, and is more authentic if that is what you want. Our bed had twin mattresses (which is quite normal in the Czech Republic) and the breakfast area is in an atrium area of the hotel so we could hear a bit of the morning activities from our room, but nothing to bother us.

Pros: The staff went out of their way to help us and make our stay in Karlovy Vary a memorable one.

Pros: The location is excellent - central, with easy walking access to all the features of the old city and spa of Karlovy Vary; the management and staff are very friendly, helpful, informative and accommodating; the restaurant is first class; and parking is free, in the street outside!

Cons: We ran out of hot water during the evening and there was none the following morning and whilst they appologised I rather expected a reduction in the room rate.

Pros: We splurged for the deluxe double room. We had a beautiful room with antique furnishings and a wonderful view of the river. The bathroom have a bathtub which was wonderful after a day of walking around town. The restaurant also served very good food.

Cons: Service at the restaurant was horrible. Despite our table reservation through the hotel, we still had to wait 40 mins for a table. After the meal, I asked the waiter a question regarding an item on my bill, he very rudely said he doesn't know and turned and walked away. Very bad and arrogant service from such a reputable establishment.

Pros: A very comfortable period hotel with a first class dining restaurant. The hotel is centrally located in the historic center of Carlsbad

Cons: The hotel is difficult to reach by car and there are extensive street improvement works underway immediately outside.

Pros: A combination of the room, the staff, the Wellness centre and the restaurant meant that we had very little motivation to leave the hotel even though the pedestrian area with shopping and the famous spa waters were just outside. Book early for the restaurant, it is not to be missed.

Cons: Reconstruction of the pedestrian area adjacent to the hotel will continue at least to the end of 2010 - if you are going during the week ask for a room at the rear of the hotel away from the early morning noise. At the weekend there was no work being done.

Pros: It's a nice little hotel, with great location and a very good breakfast. The room was clean.

Cons: On the first day the receptionist was not very polite. However, all other hotel stuff were polite, helpful and friendly. The swimming pool is tiny and the sauna was not working.

Cons: (Temporary) roadworks on the street outside (fortunately the workmen don't work weekends, which was when we were there). Car had to be delivered to the hotel door by a member of staff, entailing an approx 10 min wait unless you had the foresight to pre-order it.

Pros: Everything. All the staff were excellent without exception, the restaurant is one of the best in the Czech Republic, the location is very central for walking everywhere, and when we had to leave at 5 am the last morning, the night clerk had packed two breakfasts for us!

Pros: Great European Breakfast - The first day I asked for non-bubble water for my kids - which they did not have but the second day they had it special for us! Very attentive to our needs and super friendly - I had questions before I arrived and the staff was very fast emailing me answers. We we arrived they had maps and eating suggestions ready.

Pros: Although it is in an out of the way alley, the Hotel Boston is situated in a good part of Karlovy Vary. I had a nice view of the trees in the hillside behind the hotel.

Pros: The hotel is the "Stara dama" (the old lady) among hotels. Such a luxurious history is rarely seen in hotels. This is the only hotel in Karlovy Vary that i would return to. It is not modernised and recuperated but it was my honor being its guest for a while.

We thought this town is a spa center of Czech republic, but there are no pools and world of sauna anywhere or very poor content.Though sociologically very interesting town.

The building is beautiful and well preserved, but the breakfast (this is merely an exemple) is more 3-star, the food in the restaurant not great and someone ought to tell them that "nouvelle cuisine" is not hot anymore. Wellnes area is too small for a hotel this size, and there is no pool! The entire hotel could do with a proper airing; it smells...

Pros: Beautiful, modern spa. Located in a very good location. Close to all interesting and necessary places of the city. Extraordinary cleanliness attracts both in the rooms and in the treatment area. Rooms are cleaned twice a day and only when guests are absent. I like daily fruit vases, bottled drinking water and a chocolate bar before going to bed. The service and medical staff are superbly trained and constantly ready to help on any issues. The guest is the most important person in this hotel and everything is aimed at his service. The treatment and treatment equipment is state-of-the-art. High quality and varied nutrition. The dishes prepared by a chef named Igor are especially remembered. He can safely work in any Manhattan restaurant. In general, full 10 points and full 5 stars. Now we will only stay at this hotel.

Pros: It was a really pleasant stay. The best thing was definitely the location and the atmosphere attached to it.

Pros: Very nice building, a little bit aside from the city center, but not far away. Rooms are decorated in traditional Czech style, however on very much on budget.

Also our room was not cleaned on the second day.Overall we've got value for money, however I would only stay there for one or two nights. I would not recommend it for more than that as it will not meet your expectations.
