All perfectly handled
Pros: The staff was professional and the entire process of car hire was an excellent experience. Its a true value for money. So impressed!!!
Cons: None except the excgange rate difference.
Feeling slightly unwelcome
Pros: Efficient staff, and a swift process to return, and the requested taxi arrived quite speedily.
Cons: Someone literally parked their car smack in the center of the two available spaces as we were driving into the lot to drop off the car. We had to park temporarily blocking another vehicle in until they moved again. The office itself was chill and bare, with no real place to wait.
Premium location, affordable price
Pros: The car was new and in really good shape, very clean and with many options.
Cons: The fact that i had to find by myself the car. A person to conduct you at the car would be nice.

Pros: They gave me a refund for the GPS issue.
Cons: GPS was not working.
They charged a 250 euro deposit eve though I paid through credit card.
The car was not in good shape.

Cons: The jeep had an issue with the "start and stop" and after driving it, it would randomly slow down. I would have to restart the car to get it working again.
I contacted Enterprise immediately when I had the problem and they sent a mechanic. Instead of towing the car, he made me drive the jeep and follow him to a garage.
The mechanic left when we arrived at the garage. When I entered the garage and explained my issue, the garage said that they do not service jeeps and cannot help me. I had no choice but to drive back to my hotel.
I called enterprise when I returned to the hotel, explaining my situation and they did nothing to continue to resolve the situation. I was forced to drive the malfuncrioning and potentially dangerous vehicle.

Cons: Office was closed, something I was not given any advance instructions about. Information about where to return was not readily available. When I finally after many tries found the parking lot, it was absolutely not clear where the car was supposed to be dropped off. After many calls I was instructed to return the car to the airport as opposed to downtown location!! Irresponsible behavior by Dollar car rental in Cologne central station.

Cons: We had a very difficult time locating the parking lot to leave the car in since the off ice was closed. The navigation system took us to the wrong location several times despite having the correct address.
Cons: They didn't inform me that I can drop the car 24/7 so I had to bring it back in the morning and not the evening before
Inconvenient late dropoff
Cons: when I retern the rental car at 9:00 pm, the office is closed. So I need to write miles, gas, time, and date on the contranct and put in the key box. Howerer there was no pen to write with! Because of this, I had to drive 1 mile to buy a pen!. It was so inconvenient dropoff.
Not the car as reserves, and poor documentation
Pros: The car drove fine, and had no problems with functionality.
Cons: I specifically asked for an automatic transmission in my reservation, but upon arrival they did not have any, and was left with choosing a manual transmission vehicle. Additionally, the location receiving the one-way rental disputed the accuracy of our pre-rental inspection form, and filed a damage report for a dent that was already present with the vehicle prior to our use of the vehicle during the rental period. Last but not least, there was no mention of the rental location being a Hertz location--had I not know that Dollar was bought by Hertz, I would have had much more trouble finding where to pick up the rental.

Although our car was available, we got a downgrade.
Pros: Availability. The desk was open on the weekend and the return went smoothly.
Cons: We booked a DS3 and when we went to pick up the car we saw it next to our C3. For my wife and I, this was a downgrade. She likes the DS3 and it was even a red one.
We frequent around the world and almost systematically get a free small upgrade. This is the first time we got a hidden downgrade even though the car was available and parked right next to ours at a late hour.

Then she found the booking. Bu she told me that there is no insurance for rental period. And after a little argument I had to add an insurance for full coverage.
The rent was around 180Euro but the insurance for 4 days was around 370 Euro. Which makes totally 550 Euro. Also some more for the guarantee and totally I made 800 euros....

Cons: Your staff needs to know if the car they are renting me has a CD player or not. Several times I've been told the car has on e, and it does not. Basically, creates a hassle and wasted time sink to switch out for another rental car that has one. Thx

Cons: It was not clear where at the Cologne train station we were to drop off the car. We were lucky to find the drop off point so quickly. It would have been helpful to have an address that we could have plugged into our Navi as well as a written description of the drop-off procedure. There is no AVIS personnel at the drop-off point
