Pros: I reserved the car and expected there to be a car for me. Hertz called two hours before I was to pick up and said basically "we don't have a car for you....screw you.....we might have one in a couple days. And now I know that if you dont PAY for it when you reserve it....you really have nothing. Worst experience ever. Ended up costing my twice as much with Budget. $600

Pros: The hertz staff was nor friendly, I paid for a corolla or similar and I got the tiniest small car. They were out of office for 1 hour when I went to return the car.

Cons: They did not have the size car we reserved. Our only option was to drive the rental car to another location and exchange it. When we artived the new location found a tiny chip on the windshield we overlooked on the initiak wslk around, so they said we had to fork out money or file an insurance claim before they gave us the car we originally asked for! Im still mad thinking about it!

Pros: Never rented car keep calling them and it would go straight to a fax number i called all dayv also tried to contact thru web never could get any information or to get any one to call me back.

Nice car, poorly administerd
Pros: The Yardis had only 80 miles on it, and was in mint condition. The people at the Davis location were very nice.
Cons: I had to wait 45 minutes for the car to arrive from the Sacramento airport, and it arrived with only a gallon of gas in it instead of a full tank. Though they said I could return it empty, the vagaries of the trip led me to returning it half full, and thus I gave them $15 worth of gasoline.
Pros: Pick up and drop off was very quick, I was in and out in less than 15 min both times. I paid $180 total for a week long rental of an economy car, which I thought was a very good value.
Cons: Economy car is economy. No remote door locks, very tiny car, lots of road noise, but what do you expect when renting this cheaply? On the plus side I ended up with a car that had XM radio. Usually this would cost an extra $6 per day, but I didn't ask for it so I didn't pay for it.

Cons: In general I am very unhappy with the service, and do no intend to rent a car at enterprise again. The credit card device wasn't working properly, I've mentioned several times that my credit card was ok, but the attendant was very rude, and gave me the impression that I was lying about it. At the end we use another credit card device and worked.

Would not give me the car
Pros: My review is for Enterprise, NOT KAYAK. Kayak is great.
Cons: However, when I showed up to get the car, which I needed for a job interview near where I'm moving, my reservation was acknowledged and I was told "we don't have enough cars to fill the reservations." I left without the car and had to miss my interview. When I called corporate, they contacted the store I went to and were told that, actually, no one has come into the store and they don't remember having a conversation me. Their system showed that there were cars and that I had one reserved. But they continued to deny that I had even been in there. Very ridiculous, unprofessional, and I was not given any resolution.
Cons: Without consent or notification, my credit card was charged $200 when I picked up the car, then charged the $54 rental when it was returned the next day, along with another $200 charge. I contacted the number on the Budget receipt, who said those charges were "authorizations" and would come off. It's been 6 days, and still no pending transaction reversing the $400 in additional charges. They're also showing up in my credit card detailed billing as "purchase", not "authorization".
