The location where I made the reservation didn't have any cars available and had been waiting all afternoon for the distribution center to send over more cars. Four of us in the lobby were stuck. Luckily, another woman asked them to check a different location about 15 minutes away. The associate did, and they had cars. The associate asked if we'd be willing to go to that location and since I had been dropped off, I didn't have transportation. Thankfully, the woman who'd asked was a real Good Samaritan and offered me a lift. When I got to the other place, they didn't have the car I reserved (an intermediate) and I had to take a compact, which I didn't enjoy, but I took anyway because I was under a time crunch. This other location did their best but they seemed overwhelmed with all of us coming over. The first Avis center was all very disorganized. How is it they accepted reservations without available cars? Why didn't I get a call ahead of time if there were no cars, so I could make other arrangements? It was a mess.8.0 Very Good

They had no cars available for pick-up at my 11am pick-up time - claimed they had to be washed. Said it would take two hours to get it done. They didn't even realize I was going to be picking up a car. I needed the car to get to an appointment across the state, so I canceled the reservation. Also, the attendant on site was not very friendly, barely courteous. Didn't seem like he wanted to be there at all, and had zero concern for my need to have a vehicle. Not at all apologetic.Budget

The first car was broken, vibrated/shock-likely something wrong with the tires. The second car they gave was filthy, the trunk had bananas, grocery bags, wrapping paper, old masks. There should have been no less that four people working during this trying time. The car that was rented to me was filthy. It smelled like sweat and cigarettes. I could not wait to get out of it. A bit pricey for the car that was given to me. And I did not like that I was not able to go through the drop of inspection with the person who inspects the car. If I have any extra charges because of that I will be very upset and dispute them because the car was returned in the same conditions I received it in.Thrifty
