Overview

In the heart of Clisson, the Best Western Plus Villa Saint Antoine Hotel & Spa, Clisson, France, is a boutique hotel with breathtaking views of the medieval castle and the banks of the Sevre, set at the meeting point of the Loire-Atlantique, the Vendee, and Anjou amid the vineyards of the Nantes country. Housed in the old Delaroche mill that once drove the local economy, this 4-star hotel brings a chic, elegant air to a romantic riverside setting, with a spa and a terraced bar-restaurant looking across to the castle. The town's Italian-style architecture lends the whole place a touch of the dolce vita. Clisson is a curiosity among French towns, rebuilt in the 19th century in a Tuscan style of ochre walls and Italianate villas, set below its ruined feudal castle where the Sevre and Moine rivers meet, with the Muscadet vineyards of the Nantes country all around. From the terrace, the old castle and the river make a picture worth lingering over.
