Tiny room with minimal amenities
The ocean front location and wonderful views from all rooms are the draw at this long standing well worn Heceta Beach property.
The rooms are very basic. Thin walls, doors and flooring ensured that we heard other guests from above, below and out in the hallway. No AC over a warm Labor Day weekend left the room stuffy without the unscreened slider opened all night...ocean sounds are nice but the airhorn buoy from the jetty just north blows loudly every minute making sleep impossible with the balcony door open. Bed linens were clean but limp and rough. Plenty of compressor noise from the laboring room refrigerator made for a night full of sound. With the holiday crowds, they’d run out of basic bath amenities (we got bar soap and lotion) and room coffee. Basically a great location with a cheap motel experience.
Comfy beachfront accommodation
Location to beach, clean rooms
Walls are paper thin- could clearly hear TV and conversation from neighboring room. Room also got pretty warm with no AC, would have slept with door open but there was no screen for it.
Cute and friendly
The view The staff The pool
The shower was a little touchy.
Once was enough
The indoor pools and splash pad were great! The location and views from the room were also really fantastic. Staff were friendly.
Non-smoking room smelled like someone had chain smoked in there for the previous decade or longer. The bed was like a rock. For the price, I could have stayed almost two nights at a cheaper, cleaner hotel and driven the few miles from the bay to the beach.
The beds, the view, the rooms were nice.
Bathroom water noise. We could hear our neighbors shower and it was noticeable and irritating.
