Pros: The view is incredible. The retreat is cozy and beautifully decorated with a lot of little extras. The hot tub is a real bonus.

Pros: We arrived after sunset and while we could tell there would be an amazing view in daylight, we were blown away by the sunlight shining through the windows and the view of the ocean when we opened our eyes in the morning. The suite had everything we needed and more. The only thing that proved to be a challenge was the speed bump at the top of the driveway. If you don't have an SUV, truck or raised vehicle BEWARE! I believe Kam is working on the solution, and was very apologetic for the inconvenience.

Pros: Waking up to the most beautiful view & sunrises ... falling asleep to the sounds of waves crashing.. it was a very cozy place . Loved the decor & all the wood work inside & out .. hosts were amazing! We stay at lots of air b&b's & enjoyed our stay very much

Pros: The property was beautifully landscaped and felt like a little paradise. The access to the beach down the stairs was steep but stairs and railings very good. It was close enough to town if you needed something. Very clean and well kept accommodations. Had all the amenities we could ask for.

Cons: The only thing if we had to say something is that the temp of the hot tub was way too hot for us. At 104 we tried a couple times but didn’t last long as not used to such a high temp. Usually 100-102 but we couldn’t resist as the setting was so beautiful and the view spectacular!

Pros: Outdoor shower was surprisingly a complete delight! Even in cold, damp November weather. Plenty of hot water!

Pros: I stayed in the Tiki-Hut for 4 nights in August and for me this was the best Summer get-away experience ever. The Tiki-Hut is a cute small room but big on privacy. The exterior shower was very nicely decorated. The view from this room was amazing. It felt like a little bit being in a tree-house with a view of the habour. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and included fresh fruit and home-baked pastries.

Cons: Nothing could have been better.

Pros: Clean room, nice big windows. Included shampoo, conditioner and soap in dispensers as opposed to tiny bottles, less waste, easier to use.

Cons: The shower is outside of the room, be prepared to take shower with spiders and other insects. No breakfast included in the tiki hut. Considering the facility and size of the room it's a bit overpriced. You can get a room at Grasshopper hotel just 5 min away for the same price.

Pros: The villa itself was very beautiful. Be aware of noise levels though only because in the villas there are people above or below you depending on which villa you are in!

Cons: We had complaints about noise very early in the night which was a little frustrating as it was a holiday and only around 8 o’clock. I would say it is more for relaxing then for fun

Pros: The breakfasts were outstanding. Would strongly advise purchasing the breakfasts here. We stayed in the African Queen room which was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a great claw foot tub and a very large shower with rain shower head, hand held and several wall jets. We loved the covered balcony off the room with magnificent views. We enjoyed using the hot tub and steam room. The owners, Donna and Adrian, are very gracious hosts and do all they can to ensure your stay is enjoyable. We also used the on-site spa and had a wonderful massage - thanks to Laurel!

Pros: Lovely location. Has everything right there. Kayaks, hot tub, gazebo, fire pits, beautiful patio and even a steam room. Breakfast was amazing.

Cons: The bathroom had dead bugs in the windows. But overall was really quite clean.

Pros: Loved every minute of our stay at The Tuwanek Hotel! Being off season, had the lodge to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed the oceanside hot tub, steam room and surrounding rock gardens both evening and morning. Our Sunset Room was very cozy and we though the neighbouring coffee/games room was awesome. Was great being able to watch a movie in the theatre room and enjoy popcorn and put our feet up.

Pros: This is a very eclectic property which may be quite special in Summer months, but somewhat dreary on a wet November day, although the views are spectacular. The owner of the property was very pleasant and welcoming.

Cons: We were visiting friends in the area who recommended this property as it was quite close (4.5km). Truthfully, we were unsure of just what to expect, but whatever that may have been, this was not it. There was WiFi and a TV, but otherwise zero amenities during our stay, which being only one night was unimportant. From a value standpoint, this facility is twice the cost of the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver which is outrageous!

Pros: I stayed in Room 212, which is an Ocean view Queen room. It has an excellent view. Our room was ready when we reached at 2 pm. Check-in and check-out was contactless, since we prepaid for the room. All our conversation with the management was over the phone and through online. But they took care of our needs and made our stay pleasant. Will definitely come back in future.

Pros: Enjoyed the harbour view and quiet surroundings. The bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was nice. Most of the suite was clean.

Cons: The suite smelled like old grease because the range hood above the stove had a layer of grease on it. I cleaned it myself as housekeeping wasn't available due to covid and I didn't want to request a new suite as we had settled in and didn't want to move. I scrubbed the range hood and washed the filters. Not what I wanted to be doing on my husbands birthday getaway. Some of the pots in a drawer were also dirty. We discovered dog poop in front of the elevator one day and saw a housekeeper so gently let her know. She seemed annoyed that we interrupted whatever she was doing on her phone. We didn't use the hot tub as it seemed too far from our suite and the tub area wasn't inviting. The wood around the tub and on the deck needs staining and the chairs need to be replaced. The balcony railing of our suite also needs staining and the dirty flags beside the driveway need to be replaced. When we got home I wrote to the resort about these concerns but didn't hear back.

This is very nice resort and we loved our immaculately clean water view room although the furnishings are a little tired. We had a lovely water view from Our room and a spacious balcony. It would be great if this resort had a bar/restaurant so you didn’t have to go out to eat and drink. The resort is well located for exploring the Sunshine Coast and the manager was friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Pros: The place i stayed at was a two queen bed motel room, with a fully equipped kitchen. there's two fridges available, with a private bathroom attached to it. Over at the balcony, you get a good view of the Garden Bay lake and its surroundings. It's a relaxing break from the hustle of the city. At night, it's dark enough to gaze up at the stars.

Cons: The B&B was located next to the highway and was very noisy. This is a one night type of place not a relaxing get away location. No extras, was very pricey for what was offered.

Cons: I found the online description very misleading. There was no breakfast, the rooms were very outdated and very overpriced for what you get. Something to keep in mind that should maybe be mentioned is, the driveway is incredibly steep. Check in was not very smooth either.

Pros: I used the room as a homebase and would goon daytrips around the sunshine coast. The place is central, close to town, close to beach, & close to so many hikes/parks. The host is wecoming & accomodating & around to help. Property is well maintained and clean. I stayed in the panoramic suite and it had big windows and a pretty view of trees & ocean. The room had a mini fridge. There is also a shared kitchen and balcony/lounge area available.

Pros: The room was large with a huge covered deck. It was quietly located with an ocean view of Porpoise Bay and trees galore. The hosts made us feel welcome and made recommendations for dinner. Breakfast was served promptly and was a good traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh tomato and parsley, plus toast options).

Pros: The tent was amazing, the views stunning, the food at the pub delicious and the staff super friendly and helpful.

Cons: The washrooms need an urgent upgrade - that was the bummer of the entire experience and has nothing to do with glamping. Also the domes could be spaced out a bit more to allow some privacy.

Pros: The location is unmatchable. We stayed in the geodesic dome which was not my first choice as I thought of it as a tent. It was NOT a tent but rather an amazing structure that had a full magnificent view of the water, islands and mountains and a window that was bigger than any other bedroom window you might find. So glad we didn't have the option to opt for the older hotel structure. We knew it was going to be somewhat rustic and it exceeded our expectations in the best way possible.

Cons: Maybe the parking lot feeling right behind the geodomes could be improved and one does have to share a washroom and shower. The Backeddy Pub is an 'outback' feeling of remote being also right on the water. People should not be looking for luxury when booking here but a serene, magnificent view of what the Coast has to offer and, in the domes, a simple lovely refinement for travellers once they step inside their door.

Cons: Owner was not reachable on a late arrival( 5:55pm, info said store would be open till 8PM, it was deserted). Call button and phone messages were not responded to. Had to go to a nearby pub(Back Eddy’s )to find a contact. Owner showed up when we returned to the property to meet one of his employees. Owner said he had lost track of time, well over one hour!!!!! Got checked in, but owner did not seem to realize his responsibility to his guests. One other couple was also worried about lack of response to clearly indicated instructions to contact someone for check in.

Pros: Our unit was large, comfortable and very clean. The beds were cozy. The view was spectacular.

We arrived early - about an hour, however our room was ready and they let us in. The shop has every thing u might need. It was a really nice and relaxing stay, for sure we will go back! :)

Pros: What an amazing place! It's so much cuter and more vibrant than even the photos describe. A lovely marina resort with a general store, kayak and paddleboard rentals and, of course, beautiful views. REALLY comfy linens and bed, though it's a tight space. Perfect for two, even though there is technically a pull out couch. It is exceptionally clean and really well stocked, especially for kitchen supplies and towels, with a lovely outdoor space for reading, eating and BBQing. Free parking, too.

Cons: It was 30+ degrees, even being right on the water, so a fan would've been helpful. The bathroom is also quite small so a larger mirror in the bedroom would be nice (we were in town for a wedding so getting ready was a challenge). It's also quite close to another cabin so if you are looking for absolute privacy, this isn't it. Wifi a bit spotty.

Pros: Our small cabin was right on the water. The little courtyard had a BBQ and comfy chairs for sitting.

Cons: They had two RV parking spots next to the cabins. It was a bit of an irritation especially since one of the RV owners was a jerk.

Cons: Two things could be improved in my opinion. For one, I find that although the grounds are kept clean, the general appearance of the building looks a little tired. When I arrived, I doubted for a minute. As soon as I was in the room I was happy. The second thing is that there could be a few more inviting chairs at the back, to sit quietly and look at the bay. There were a few, but there were always people so we could never use them. A few more would have been great.

After our 2 night stay ,my 15 month old son had a rash from bug bites.luckily my purpose of the trip was all settled so I did not need to extend my stay for one more night. I learned that there are permanent residents in the hotel and there is always security guard around the place. If you are not fussy and just need to stay it is okay.The housekeeping staff is great though because he cleans and tidy up the room and replaces all the towels that we used.
