Pros (+) Loved all the glass windows to see the sun rise on the ocean side and the sun set on the wetlands side!
Cons (-) The resort restaurant prices for all meals were expensive
Pros (+) I loved most everything! The view was impeccable, everyone was polite, and the room was like an extended stay room. Full fridge and freezer, dishes, stovetop, everything. The room had a full bathroom, with a half bathroom attached, so there were two toilets which was wonderful. I loved it!
Cons (-) The only negative was the shower/sink water smelled a bit like fishy ocean water and if you order a water in the restaurant, it tastes that way as well.

Cons (-) The head of the beds are placed along the wall that separates the room from the exterior breezeway. There is a large window over the beds. It is EXTREMELY noisy (echo is terrible- each door closing sounds like a slam) and people were loud (running/screaming) and have no consideration of other guests. I had to call and complain about the people in the room next door, multiple times, who were scream...

Pros (+) The views of the ocean, inlet, intracoastal waterway, and the island were amazing! We were able to watch the sunrise and sunset over the water. The beds and pillows were so very soft and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and nice. Overall a wonderful stay!
Cons (-) The only negatives I have are that the food from the onsite restaurant was not all that good and way over priced for what you get. Needless to say, we only had one meal at the restaurant. Also, the hot tub could be bigger, or maybe they could have a second, adults only hot tub.

Cons (-) No ice machines working Pool and Spa under repairs- I called and asked about pool nothing was said. Not a website
Pros (+) The hotel is a great place to spend a vacation. The rooms are kept up nicely although they are older. The view from each room is spectacular and the kitchenette is sufficient to prepare snacks. This is not my first trip to Shell Island and I would recommend it to others.
Cons (-) The staff like many other places these days doesn't quite understand how to interact with customers. The hotel management walks right by you without a smile or a greeting. However, the maintenance staff was friendly. Reported a clogged cammode that was never fixed and I we were bitten up by sand fleas. I mentioned it to the desk and was told with a smile that they come in through the doors. Thanks...
