New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is located on the waterfront of Flushing Bay in the borough of Queens, New York. Although it is the smallest of New York's three commercial airports, the others being John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport, LaGuardia is favored by many travelers due to its proximity to Manhattan, only eight miles to the east. Named after Fiorello LaGuardia, a former mayor of New York, LaGuardia is operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. With four terminals, the airport is a focus city for Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, and US Airways with flights to destinations within the United States, Canada, Aruba, the Bahamas, and Bermuda.
Free shuttle buses run between terminals every ten to fifteen minutes. If you don't have the time, expect the taxi ride to cost between $3 and $7.

Baggage claim can be found on the lower level.
US Airways Terminal and US Airways Shuttle Terminal
This 300,000 square foot terminal with twelve gates was opened in 1992 and serves US Airways, US Airways Express, and US Airways Shuttle to Aruba, Pittsburgh, and Charlotte, and many other cities. Baggage claim is found on the lower level. The US Airways Terminal is connected to the US Airways Shuttle Terminal by its lobby and check-in areas. The Shuttle Terminal has eight gates and has hourly flights to Boston and Washington, D.C.
Marine Air Terminal
The Marine Air Terminal, with six gates, is LaGuardia Airport's original terminal, once serving the flying boats of Pan American Airways. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, but still serves Delta Shuttle and Delta Connection to Boston, Washington-Reagan, and Chicago-Midway. Baggage claim is on the lower level.
