The breakfast was fantastic. The location was perfect. The bed was tall but comfortable.
The cleanliness of the room left a bit to be desired - dingy paint on the walls, large build up of dust on the fan blades, a nasty set of blinds in the window inside the shower (why not film over the glass and take away the blinds?), and lastly there are so many lights around the property that there really should be blackout shades installed on the windows so that if you do want to have darkness, that is an option. We were also celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary, I emailed the "info@" account as recommended on the booking confirmation to see if there was anything special that could be done to surprise my wife. Not only did I not hear back, but by the time we checked in and asked if we could at least eat at the restaurant that night, they were fully booked.
The ladys where absolutely wonderful. Definitely be staying again
The room was fantastic! Beautiful house!
That we were roomed right next to the dining area when my husband and I were the only ones who were not present for a private event being held. Therefore when we would come in out of our room we were in the middle of serving staff and the noise was too loud. I felt like they could have serviced us better by placing us in a room upstairs instead of right next to an 30-40person event that we were not apart of. Also our room was not ready when we got there at 3:30 and was not ready until quarter of 5pm.
The location & view from the balcony are the only positives we had in our experience.
Our greeting/reception was horrible from a very young lady trying to do her best, the room was not as advertised, the upper deck chairs soaked our clothing, the honesty bar was horribly stocked, we had to take the batteries from our tv remote to use in the thermostat for heat, the bedside tables were filthy, the breakfast was barely edible, and we were overcharged for our drinks—and I called to correct this after we left and was told we would be credited, but never heard a word. We were celebrating a 50th birthday, and could not have been more disappointed with the whole experience.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. My room and bed were very comfortable. I enjoyed the lemon water and cookies in my room.
It was the off season and very quiet. The restaurant was temporarily closed. The re-opening was unfortunately a week after my stay.
