Surprisingly beautiful with lushful gardens
The greeting at Reception with hibiscus juice! The excellent service from all staff. The pool area in the courtyard surrounded with palms and plants. The gardens with Mayan sculptures. Mayan artifacts displayed all around the hotel. The cleanliness of all areas and the peacefulness.
The size of the room, a bit small but comfortable with everything you need.

Quiet and close to the ruins
We liked how close VA was to the ruins--you can walk to the back/side entrance! The room was quaint and pretty clean. The restaurant was hit and miss, but the shrimp ceviche, guac, spicy salsa, fresh made tortilla chips, and margaritas were the best I had during my stay in Mexico. The pool was pretty quiet, a nice little oasis after a hot day in the bustle of CI.
My main complaint is that one of the two days we stayed, the electricity was out for the majority of the morning and afternoon. We were told this would happen when we arrived, but we were merely informed, and no effort was made to compensate us for this huge inconvenience. We spent the morning at the ruins and returned during the hottest part of the day to no air-conditioning, no frozen margaritas, no working credit card machine, and a pool without a functioning filter that quickly became cloudy and gross.
Excellent location, and very walkable to the ruins. Rooms were tidy and the place was very clean.
Poor wifi. Often had to move around the hotel to try to find a working signal. Also, didn't realize breakfast was extra.
Not a great resort but perfect place to stay to vi
Very close to Chichen Itza (walk a bit, maybe 5 minutes, then you are in Chichen Itza). Meal plan is convenient. If you are using resort standard, i.e. someone treats you like prince and princess then this is not up to the standard. If you just want a clean and nice place to stay with easy access to the ruin, this place is perfect.
Receptionist is a grumpy lady. The information provided about Sound and Light show is not quite correct (but...it doesn't seem like anyone know for sure how to get into the Night and Light show...)
No TV in the rooms
Just be aware that there is no TV in the rooms.
Staff was really nice and super helpfull. Ubication was great
It was ok
Unique decoration.
No wifi in rooms. Have to take a taxi from main gate to get to hotel. Not enough hot water to take shower
Location is the main plus. Food is better at the neighboring lodge, and the beds are hard. You pay a lot to be this close.
the food
Good Value for Money, Neat, No-fuss, innovative room layout
Bad water pressure, Limited food options, Slow WI-FI
Close to Chitchen Itza
Quality of food in general is poor and not fresh. Fish for dinner is inedible, soft and smell strong. Quantity of breakfast is minimal and even bread is not fresh too.
perfect location, simple but cosy rooms, good food and service all day long.
Classy style and ambiance, great food and service, tranquil setting-everything I needed.
