Pros: What an amazing place to stay. The hotel is up a hill so the views over the town of Goreme are incredible. The rooms are in caves and very quaint. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I loved the gozleme made fresh from the kitchen every morning. And lastly the staff are beautiful people. Thank you so very much to Ahmet, Betul, Han and Hanifi for looking after us. You all made our stay in Göreme so very special.

Pros: The cave room is so suggestive and romantic. The position of the hotel is perfect to see the sunrise with the air balloons and the sunset. Do close to the main street where you can find a lot of local restaurants and other useful services. Han, the responsible of the hotel, is a very kind person and he can give you a lot of suggestions to enjoy your trip at its best.

Pros: I stayed one night at Vineyard Cave Hotel, and the space was clean, the hotel was centrally located (Goreme is easily walkable), and the staff was friendly and helpful. I left for a flight before breakfast, but was provided with a sandwich for my trip.

Pros: The stay at Vineyard was great. Osman, the owner and his staff was helpful and friendly from the minute we walked in offering us drinks upon arrival. The rooftop is amazing for viewing the hot air balloons. They have a great breakfast as well.

Pros: Our room was a cave converted hotel room , and a family suite with a living room , two bedroom and a full bath. The property has fantastic views of the valley and balloons that fly above the hotel twice during our three night stay! Beautiful outdoor lightings at night, a roof top terrace plus another large roof terrace with many dining areas for breakfast. This family run hotel is very clean and nicely decorated with traditional Turkish arts and crafts and furniture. Owner, Osman is very attentive and his staff is always ready to help us with our complicated sightseeing and family activities arrangements. We had a great time visiting Cappadocia and highly recommend this hotel to any family to stay in this lovely hotel!

Pros: The attention of the manager, Osman, who speaks really well Spanish was very helpful. He does everything for the service

Cons: To have in mind, we were a group of 15 people and the day that we reserved for the Ballon we couldn't make it because weather conditions, the other day only 3 of us could make it..reservations are full. If you are going to capaddocia to ride in a Ballon I strongly recommend to have at least 3 mornings. If you make it the first day, don't hesitate to see the balloons from a good terrace the other 2 days, you can have even better pictures, it's a different but unbelievable experience.

Pros: The room gives you that authentic fairy chimney experience but also has modern features. Be aware that the door frames are low so tall folks will have to duck. The breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. Bekir drove us to several places around the area for activities.

Cons: The main activity we came to do in Cappadocia was the hot air balloon ride. We had booked our 3 night reservation and balloon ride with Bekir 4 months in advance. We arrived and we had no flight confirmed. Without consulting us, Bekir felt the prices were too high and didn't make a reservation. This happened two days in a row. We finally booked a flight in town ourselves for our last morning there, but due to the weather, it was cancelled. Our hearts are broken and we're still upset that with 4 months advance notice, we missed our once-in-a-lifetime opportunity over approximately a 50€ difference. This absolutely could have been avoided if he had just consulted with us on what was happening with the prices. Our recommendation is not to depend on Bekir to book your balloon flight but book directly with balloon companies yourself well in advance to secure your reservation.

Pros: I booked the hot air balloon and other trips from the landlord. The price was lower than that quoted on the domestic website, but I heard the price was lower during the trip. However, I was satisfied with this trip，The cave is a real cave. It's cool. The breakfast buffet is great.

Pros: The hosts were very nice and helpful. The location was excellent! I liked the room (was big and comfortable) and I loved the terrace where we had breakfast or hang out during the day.

Pros: Anatolia Cave Pension has been the best we could desire. Our room (as the other ones) inside the cave was spectacular, very beautiful, charming and picturesque. First of all super clean, supplied with all the necessary for a perfect stay: a lot of towels, a comfortable bed, impeccable wifi connection, a big bathroom with hairdryer, shampoo, balsam, body wash. The position is excellent, in the historic center but not on the main road, so you can reach in a few minutes by foot the most important places and attractions to visit (such as Goreme Open Air Museum) but in the same time enjoy calm and relax during the night and the breakfast on the terrace. By the way! The terrace is marvelous, with a breathtaking view on the city and an ideal position to see the air balloons during the dawn. The breakfast? One of the most delicious I have never found in a hotel: international, it is capable of satisfying every palate: fresh fruits, different kinds of bread, cheeses, hams, salads, yogurts, vegetables, eggs cooked with various ways, milk, tea, coffee, fruit juices and a lot of other culinary delicacies. One of the most important thing is the professionalism, the kindness and the willingness of the owners, Berek and Brit: two special people. They sent a shuttle-bus for us from the airport to the hotel; once arrived in the pension they welcomed us in a very gentle and friendly way, giving us a lot of information about Cappadocia and the possibility to do organized tours to visit the less close places with an authorized guide for a very honest price (we suggest the green and the blue tours). Pros: Really beautiful and lovely hotel. Room was great and staff helpful. Hotel in great location. Breakfast was the best we had in Turkey. There is a lot if communal space around the hotel to relax in. Great value for money - highly recommend! Not a negative but room was quite small, that wasn't an issue for us and we paid for more basic room. It is worth enquiring about room size/ paying more for larger room if you think this will be an issue. Low ceilings/ small doorway etc - fine if you don't mind stooping a bit like us!

Cons: The room has a humid smell. The door of the bath room is too small and my head hit against the top of the doorframe many times. The most important is that the hot water will be ran out after about ten minutes. You must wait for at least half hour until the hot water is avilable again. It is uncomfortable in a cold night.

Cons: When we entered the reception, they were generally very helpful and since peoole stayed in our room before us left earlier they gave the room before check in time. We really appreciated that. However guy with glasses in reception didnt want to give us information about tours,ignored our questions and just said relax and go have breakfast....i really dont like that attitude...maybe he thinks he knows everything best....other than that all stuff was very friendly and helpful. Pros: The hotel was so charming, and the staff very helpful and accommodating. Our room was perfect for a two night stay, and the property is situated a short stroll to from the township, which is small, and that just added to the charm of our whole experience in Cappadocia!

Cons: We did not realise how much time we could have spent exploring the area of Cappadocia, and Goreme but now we have a reason to go back! A minimum of two nights is necessary, so you can go ballooning one morning, and view the spectacular of viewing all the airborne balloons the other morning....it is magical!

Pros: Location and overall satisfaction was high. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic for views of the balloons and was only a short walk into town. Only a couple of minor points were no safe in room as promised, very hard bed made it a bit uncomfortable for my bad back, and tv didn’t work. Pros: This was the best accommodation we have ever experienced in all our travels. The facilities are impeccable, the staff will bend over backwards to ensure every need your heart desires is achieved. The room blew us away, we had everything we needed and more. The complimentary toiletries were the best quality I have received from a hotel. The reception staff spoke fluent English and catered to all our needs. They organize everything for you, Horse Riding? Quads? Balloons? Tours? Cooking Class? Dinner Reservations? Nothing too big or too small. The restaurant onsite is amazing, I highly recommend the mushroom dish and clay pots. If you have any food allergies, Do not stress, The people in Kapadokya are the most accommodating and helpful people I have ever met. This place is extremely special. I wish I could give a higher rating than 10/10

Pros: The location of Butterfly Cave Hotel is perfect and makes you feel right at home. The view is spectacular and the centre of Goreme is right down the street. Personally greeting each guest with a personalized tour, the manager and staff go above and beyond to cater to their clientele. The atmosphere is chill and rustic, but if you desire something more chic you can walk around the fairy chimneys to Sultan Cave Suites where you can dine at Seten Restaurant and enjoy sunset and breakfast from either terrace. Sleeping in the fairy chimney may have some inconveniences, but is a cozy and unique experience.

Pros: Great hotel in a nice location (close to the town centre). Perfect for seeing the Hot air balloons in the morning. The hotel property is great overall. The room was big and very clean. The hotel property offers many great areas to relax (pool, patio etc.). Overall, service from the staff was quite good. Excellent breakfast as well. I would recommend trying the organic breakfast experience on the farm. It was well wroth it.

Cons: The bathroom, while clean, was too small especially given the large room size. With no windows, you felt a bit trapped in the bathroom. I am not sure if the bathrooms in the other rooms are the same however.

Pros: The staff was always smiling and happy to help and provided genuine guidance and were pretty prompt in responding to your request. My wife found the cave rooms very cute, and they had a warm welcoming environment. On a whole, a lovely ambience, clean and tidy rooms, pleasent staff and convenient location. The view of the balloons from the terrace was mesmerising.

Pros: Beautiful hotel, spotless, excellent location. The breakfast was delicious- locally sourced yummy organic produce, served in a lovely garden filled with local flowers. (There is also an indoor seating area). The staff were so helpful! We arranged activities through the team at the hotel. Service could not have been better from the moment we were met at the airport to the moment we left. Hakan and his team did everything to make oir stay as comfortanle and enjoyable as possible. We also had the privilege of having Yakup as our guide. He is the most knowledgeable guide ever! He knows more about the history, culture and traditions of the region than anyone! He also had some cool insider tips about allsorts (from clean, queue free loos to turkish hamam best and worst). Thank you Yakup, HAkan and team :-)

Pros: Nice and super friendly hotel staff! Room was spacious and clean. Manager explained us all the tourist attractions and places in the area and gave us really helpful hints. Breakfast is good, not many choices, but good enough for 3-4 days of stay. Even though the hotel is kinda at the side of the town, the location is still good, in a walking distance from everything. Unlike some other hotels this hotel is not on the hill and you dont have to crawl up and down; if you drive a car it has a very convenient entry, unlike hotels on the hill with very narrow streets and inconvenient car drive way. Would definitely come back again!

Cons: We needed to iron our clothes for the next day, but the iron was taken by other guests and we didn't get one (asked at 8pm), so if you are planning to iron your stuff make sure you ask for the iron ahead of time. The wooden entrance door to the room is not sound-proof, it lets in every piece of noise from the corridor. When someone knocks the door of the adjacent room, you feel like they are knocking your door... The hotel terrace offers a limited view at the hot air balloons, if you want to take pictures with the balloons, the hotel area is not the best place to do it, need to go somewhere else.

Pros: The rooms are a great size. There are only 7 rooms in the hotel so it feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. You get very personalised and friendly service, and quality advice on local attractions from the family.

Pros: Location is perfect. Walking distance to town, and sunset point. The terrace is a good spot to see the hot air ballons early in the morning if you don’t want to walk uphill. The room is very clean. Ibrahim and Memo are wonderful hosts. They are very nice and very helpful. I will definitely come back next time I am in Cappadocia.

Pros: Super hospitable hosts! Mehmet and the rest of the team were very helpful each day with their recommendations of which tours to go for and where to go. The daily breakfast provided was great and you can see the hot air balloons around you at the rooftop at sunrise!

Pros: Ibrahim was extremely helpful with booking our Hot Air Balloon Experience, extending our stay after our initial booking and helping us with directions etc. The breakfast was great, like a feast served on a beautiful terrace. I believe our host would do his best to answer any questions you had and he goes the extra mile with his service. Even gave me a lift to the shop and back on the scooter.

Cons: Toilet flush seemed a little odd sometimes constantly filling the cistern with water for what seemed like forever. The rooms can sometimes fell a little dark, but they are beautiful and you are in a stone carved room so it's bound to be dark really.

Pros: While the location was good, away from the noisy main street, this was partially offset by the steepness of the nearby streets/lanes and the steps at front entrance to the rooms. The decor of the large room was impressive in a localised styling. The staff was efficient and helpful in arranging two day tours and trying to arrange a replacement booking on a hot air balloon flight. Breakfast was served individually on the rooftop terrace and had a wide range of dishes and condiments.

Pros: We had the most incredible stay at Koza Cave. Location was amazing- just a short walk up from the main centre of Goreme. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite and it was spectacular- the Cave style accommodation was just beautiful and so much attention to detail throughout the whole place! The views- absolutely incredible! Any time of day but especially for sunrise with the hot air balloons flying overhead was an experience we will never forget! During the evening, Dusk by Koza opens up and has the most delicious cocktails to sit back and enjoy the scenery! They were all amazing- my favourite the Turkish Delight Mojito!! Breakfast was exceptional! The choice was endless and delicious, the staff were all so accommodating and the views for breakfast were simply stunning. We could not fault anything with our stay- the family who run the hotel were so lovely, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. We will absolutely be back again! And could not recommend Koza Cave more- a must stay in Cappadocia!

Pros: I dont know how to spell his name but “Jem” or “Gem” was the one who helped us in everything! I dont review hotels or anything else but he was so friendly and kind with us during our stay that i wanted to do this! Its a family that seriously know how to take on a business hotel! The hospitality of the people there was awesome i recommend it above all the hotels there!

Pros: Koza is a beautiful small family run boutique hotel in the perfect location with the best views in Cappadocia. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is pleasant and can help book the best balloon rides and dinner reservations (ask for Jam - he’s the best!). Highly recommend Koza if you’re going to Cappadocia.

Pros: Our stay at Koza Cave Hotel was exceptional. Although rooms are expensive and they do sell out fast, it is well worth the price. The facilities are great and our stay was extremly comfortable. It is a family owned hotel, all staff working there were extremly friendly and very helpful. They made the stay even more comfortable and they went out of their way to accomdate to our needs. The hotel itself is beautiful, it exceeded our expectations, the room was very comfortable and facilties were great. The terrace which was the key selling point for us is as amazing as it appears in photos, it did not disspoint at all, the view was absoluntly stunning and the terrace really is the highest from all hotels. Hotel staff we very helpful so if you are looking for more information about Cappadoccia or want recomendations for tours, taxis or even local restaurants to eat at we would definitly recommend asking the hotel staff.

Cons: Hotel itself didn't dissapoint but we were dissapointed by the local food we tried near the hotel. When we told the staff at the hotel this they recommended a good reataruant and we managed to have a really nice meal on our last day.

Pros: Beautifully located on the hilltop of Goreme. Definitely THE BEST rooftop to experience the scene of hot air balloons flying during sunrise. Room was clean, cozy and comfy. The owner went above and beyond to support us during our stay here. Exceptional service.

Pros: The staff at this hotel go above and beyond what you could hope for, they were incredible! The room we stayed in was stunning as well, and the mini bottle of wine as a welcome was a sweet treat.

Cons: Unfortunately it had rained a bit the day we arrived so the rooftop (which was the main selling point for us) was closed for the evening and was closed again for the next morning, which meant we couldn't use it at all for our stay. While this hotel is incredible, it is expensive and having stayed in a less expensive place for a few other nights in Cappadocia that was equally as amazing I am not sure that this hotel is worth the cost. Pros: Brilliant character-filled accomodation, in a great location with wonderful views. Our room was spacious and comfortable for a 'cave'! My husband is very tall, so the low ceilings in some places meant he had to be a bit careful. Terrific shower and large bathroom in our two room suite. Ismael and all the staff were so pleasant and helpful! They organised a dawn balloon ride which was the highlight of our holiday, as was watching the hundreds of balloons the other morning from our balcony. Just amazing! We found it an easy walk to everything but be aware there are steep hills:) We loved our stay and highly recommend Amber Caves.

Pros: All the staff without exception were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Mustafa and Fatima in particular but really the whole team and we felt looked after and almost part of a family. Really made the difference. Breakfast choice was excellent. In terms of things to do again they helped sort things out for us and they even arranged a female taxi driver to show us around and she was really good and we felt very safe. If we went back to Cappadocia would stay there again. We had the honeymoon cave as it was our wedding anniversary and it was one of those wow moments when we walked in. That and the balloon ride (also on our anniversary) were what made it for my wife.

They have a 3 month old puppy, Izmir that is gorgeous and runs around the hotel. Izmir adds to the homely feel. The views are spectacular and the lounging area on the main terrace very comfortable to read in the afternoon. We arranged a balloon flight through the hotel and it was great. Free tea and coffee and bottles of water. Lovely toiletries. All the little touches that make a difference. The gentleman who runs breakfast works very hard, always looking to accommodate you. Their attentiob to detail is very good here. Don't hesitate to stay here.

We didn’t find Simit so soft and tasty anywhere else. The old lady and a man working in the kitchen were sweet. Location and Scenery: It is serene and hard to explain the unbelievable beauty from the roof top while eating breakfast. Hotel has a perfect location for all shops and restaurants nearby. Room: We were in the least expensive cave room at the bottom floor. Even though it was pretty hot last week of June but our room remained cool without any air conditioning due to its location. Cons: The male receptionist is arrogant. It seems there is a strange policy considering activities: prices are always given only with numbers, the currency is never said, we expect it to be Turkish lira but without any logical matter some prices are actually in euro, which is of course much more expensive. We were very surprised about it and the male receptionist laughed about it and literaly made fun of us. This is very unprofessionnal as a host and unpleasant as a guest.

But what makes the hotel stand out above the rest is the fabulous customer service and hospitality. Nalan and her team go out of their way to ensure you are well looked after, no request is too big or small, from making restaurant reservations to booking tours, right down to finding a sewing kit when I needed to stitch up a hole in my clothes. My partner celebrated his birthday during our stay, and the Tekkaya team made sure it was one of his most memorable! By the time we left, we truly felt like we had been welcomed into the family. The hotel definitely has a cosy, family vibe, and we especially loved the home-cooked dinners and buffet breakfast. We would definitely recommend Tekkaya for your visit to Cappadocia.

Pros: The view was amazing. We got up at 5:40 am and watched the balloons for an hour on our private terrace. There’s no ac in the room but you won’t even need it as the room will be cool enough at night. Also, one of the windows has a screen, in case you’d want to leave it open for fresh air. The staff was super nice. Joseph and the other guy were so sweet and helpful. Breakfast wasn’t that huge but great enough for us. All the jams and the cake were homemade. You can walk up the alley to the top of the mount and watch the sunset and sunrise. We loved it! Oh and there’s a private parking at the site. We’d def stay there again.

Cons: Since our room was the top cave, the internet was weak and apparently it was shut off after midnight. The toilet wasn’t sparkling clean but ok. Be aware of check-in and check-out times as they’re slightly earlier than most hotels.

Cons: Nothing as such, however, as suggestion a breakfast menu can slightly be improved with more variety food in a buffet setup.

Pros: The location was fabulous. Staff, in particular Ugur were excellent and really helpful. When our balloon flight was cancelled, Ugur called round and found us another one when no one else seemed able to help. The view from the terrace was absolutely stunning.

Cons: The wifi wasn't working very well.

Pros: An extremely beautiful cave hotel with gorgeous decor - impressive details. Ugar was beyond accomodating and helpful with organising our stay. Breakfast was devine. Location and view also amazing. Could not recommend this place more!! Insane value for money. Thanks Miras! :)

Cons: I wish we had stayed longer!

Pros: The hotel is very well located in the center of Göreme town. Is a beautiful cave hotel with amazing views over the town and in the morning you can see the hot air balloons from the hotel! The staff is very helpful and friendly and we would like to thank Mr. Ugur Oztrak for all his suggestions and for booking of our tours. We had an amazing time and with all the tours booked in the hotel we were able to make the best of our time in Cappadocia! The hotel had a pool as well which is very convenient in the hot days!

Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect!

Pros: Ugar at reception was so helpful and kind. He got us a spot on the hot air balloon flight which seemed to have been booked up everywhere we asked. We did have to pay a lot over usual price but it was so worth it! Very pleasant and chilled stay. Viewing point was just above the hotel and 5minute walk up some very steep steps.

Pros: It was an excellent location. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The staff were so welcoming and wonderful. Would definitely recommend!

Pros: The whole reception team was really great and helpful. Mostly I spoke to Ugur also before coming to the hotel. He arranged for me the baloon flight, the shuttle from and to the airport and a car for two days. The location could not be better. We had beautiful views from the room. The room itself was quite big, too. The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast itself was good, a lot of different foods to choose from.

Cons: There was nothing we did not like.
