Pros: Michael is wonderful host, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are well appointed, spacious, bright and comfortable. The breakfast was cooked fresh and very tasty. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely return.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very friendly and attentive. We were slightly late from our expected arrival time due to the long drive from Skye and the host waited patiently for us to check in. We were delighted that we were given a room at the ground floor as we have big luggages with us, which will be tough to be lugged upstairs. Host was really flexible to make changes to our breakfast based on our preferences as well. Thank you so much for sharing good recommendations on where to eat and sight-see. The room was cosy and garden were wonderful as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Pros: The property was clean and it was in a great location for the Highland games. Breakfast was great but the highlight I must say was Michael. He was very attentive in our needs and he even dried our clothes after we came soaked from the games. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: loved the breakfast. so much choice and variety
Cons: bed was a bit too hard
7.9 Good
Pros: The friendly and helpful staff who always go the extra mile, and the good food. There are lots of family things to do, the gardens are pretty and there are lovely walks behind the hotel. Crieff itself is also a lovely town to visit with a number of good coffee shops, gift shop and clothes shops.
Cons: The room was too hot! The corridors were not very clean because of residents throwing down litter. That was NOT the fault of the hotel staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amount of activities!
Cons: Check out there was a problem with my bill . This stupid pre authorisation thing. The base camp had charged an activity and it ended up locking the pre authorisation money. Embarrassing tbh. Why can’t we just pay for the room at check in then settle any other money at the end? They take a deposit anyway and have people’s details.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: We chose the wrong week! - A noisy hotel with a full children’s programme. We were on half board but the dinner menu should have provided a £25 pp menu option. It was difficult to find items on the menu for two courses within the £25.
4.6 Okay
Cons: The worst hotel I have ever stayed in I paided for a n executive room not to my standards
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Availability of gluten free food. Everything was very good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Victorian townhouse. Nicely restored and presented. Very comfortable and cosy.
Cons: No negatives other than the shared bathroom gets a little busy when being used by 3 rooms.
7.5 Good
Pros: the room was very nice, and the bed very comfortable with variety of pillows.
Cons: No sign of any staff in the morning to ask about coffee, laid out was an extremely basic breakfast which was fine for me, but a decent coffee would have made all the difference.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about this b & b it was fabulous
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Bed was very comfy and host was lovely.
Cons: Very cheap and scratchy towels that were tiny. The breakfast was so basic we went out both days. There was no shower in our en-suite, just a very dated bath, with very tatty bath mat that looked older than me. I think they shouldn’t really call it a bed and breakfast as the breakfast was so poor. A guest house yes.
7.9 Good
Pros: The property is very well located. Free parking area was nearby. There are also some good shops and restaurants available. Can strongly recommend Gordon&Durward (Chocolaterie :-)). The room was lovely decorated. Each rooom was different. Very nice.
Cons: Was not clean at all. Windows were very dirty and full of spider webs. The tray with tea bags, cups and glases was also not clean. Breakfast was not the best. Only less choice. Tea and Coffee were not available. I needed to pick up a tea bag from my room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: we were very happy withe the room

The Royal Hotel - Crieff - Building
18
8.4 Excellent (183 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at The Royal Hotel in Crieff, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Loch Earn and Deil's Cauldron. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and an elevator. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are always beautifully clean and very nicely, conservatively decorated. The bathrooms are immaculate. The sitting room is the most charming and comfortable I have ever been in! And the pub is a gem - superb food, excellent service, and wonderful surroundings. Definitely my favorite pub in Scotland.
Cons: I've been coming to The Royal for many, many years and it has long been a favorite place to stay. However, I was saddened to see that the stairway carpeting going up to the bedrooms is desperately in need of changing. It is horribly stained, and no longer fits as it should. It really does need urgently to be replaced. It ruins an otherwise lovely atmosphere.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and tasty supper
Cons: Expensive
7.5 Good
Pros: welcome from staff and overall facilities were wonderful
Cons: no hot vegetarian option on the breakfast menu.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: To be honest the food was fantastic. We were so glad that we didn’t sample the desserts until the last evening - or we would have stuffed ourselves (even more than we did). We could not fault a thing and were especially impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff.
Cons: Nope - nothing at all comes to mind, sorry.
7.5 Good
Pros: The Royal is a lovely hotel in a great location, my husband I were staying at the hotel for a family wedding at Comrie Croft, location was great, staff brilliant, our queries where responded to very efficiently.
Cons: downside, some parts of the hotel are looking a little tired, the downstairs disabled toilet seat was a disgrace, all the underside of the seat was blistered, a replacement seat would go along way to improving the loo as this appears to be the only toilet for restaurant guests providing guests with a good overall experience is essential in today's market. Some carpets especially those leading up to the bedrooms where dirty, appreciate that guests can come in with muddy boots, but again it is the attention to detail, over the weekend their where times when the reception desk was left unattended for significant periods of times, disappointing when you have a query that you are trying to get addressed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. Check in and out was effortless and I was delighted to hear they carried gluten free bread which I could have for breakfast. Staff were so friendly and helpful with so much information about the local area. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.and hope to return in the future.
Cons: Cant thinking anything to improve!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed my visit as I was going to a wedding in Comrie Croft the staff organised a taxi for me . In all my stay was very pleasant. Many thanks
Cons: The carpets. Cream isn’t a good choice for a busy hotel

Pros: Fantastic location with great views of the loch
Cons: When we visited there was no draught lager although I understand this has now been rectified.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodation, location of hotel, loch views, food, comfort, and last ,but not least, friendly staff who "went the extra mile" all were first-rate ! Much impressed and will definitely return in not too distant future.
Cons: In all honesty, my only observation would be that the interior of the hotel main building could be done with some refurbishment/upgrading 'ere long. Apart from the above, there really was nothing not to love about this wonderful venue !
7.9 Good
Pros: Wonderful location
Cons: A little dated
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good as were the bar meals. The location is ideal and the scenery beautiful even though the weather wasn't brilliant at the time we were there. The staff were friendly & helpful, although there didn't seem to be many of them.
Cons: The worst thing about it was that we got Room 10, which is above the bar and has a double bed which creeks every time you move. It really needs scrapping and replacing with a wooden frame instead of the iron one. The other thing was that on our first night the noise from the bar went on until about 11.45 pm.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view from the hotel was spectacular and the food was very good.
Cons: Parts of the hotel are very dated and would benefit from a make over. We had to wait quite a while for our breakfast order despite only 3other people being in the dining room Very poor wifi.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was very beautiful
Cons: Food was fantastic. Staff very friendly.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great food. Very accommodating. Welcoming and a homey feeling. Great place to relax and have your needs looked after. Susan and Finn make great hosts. Finn not so much, he is just a dog.
Cons: WiFi not reliable. Some trouble opening and closing the window for fresh air.
