Pros: Convenient location for what we needed. Staff helpful and friendly

Pros: The B&B was impeccably clean and the room was spacious and well equipped, with a very comfy bed! The owner was very welcoming and provided me with a delicious and excellent-value full English breakfast in the morning. Convenient location in the centre of Rawdon, close to the airport and with buses into central Leeds too. Would highly recommend!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very relaxing space
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The best thing was the coffee lounge and free coffee and water for guests.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Really quiet location, but enough restaurants & bars within a 10min walk. Rooms very basic but lovely & clean! Bed really comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Property in a great location with plenty of parking.
Cons: Room was a bit warm with no ability to call it down other than a smallish window.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Parking, Breakfast and location
Cons: NA
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything except maybe the shower - a bit dated / difficult to work.
Cons: Just the shower… as above.
Good 7.0
Pros: Second stay here, prime location for us, breakfast fab, so was cleanliness mostly, but sink had black mould around plug hole...
Cons: As above and smaller room this time, with beds a tad hard.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Set in beautiful grounds, the room and facilities were basic but exactly what we needed. Staff were lovely, breakfast was gorgeous, and location ideal.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We checked in late after a wedding at Headingley stadium (which is very close). The night manager was very kind and helpful, he chatted to us and showed us around. We couldn't have wished for a warmer more friendly welcome. The hall and grounds were beautiful, really interesting to find out about the history of the place. THE TOWELS WERE THE SOFTEST I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED (that was something we were really excited about, towels.. I know.. but they were exceptional, the towels of dreams!) The breakfast was delicious and the beds were comfy, like another reviewer said this is a hidden gem.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Staff were so kind and all interested In the history of the building and sharing that with guests
Cons: Room could have a bath
Excellent 9.6
A lovely haven a stones throw from shops, bars and restaurants. A well kept old building which was clean and full of friendly staff. Good breakfast. Shower was a bit naff but it’s not the end of the world! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff very friendly & helpful
Cons: Be useful if times of restaurant & bar was left in the room. Limited window opening even though on ground floor.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Good
Excellent 8.0
Pros: This is a great hotel! Staff are so friendly and helpful. The staff really helped us out as we weren't from Leeds, they helped us out finding a local taxi rank. Hotel room was a good size and fairly clean.
Cons: Only downside was i found a hair on one of the bath towels, the bath wasn't completely clean and the hair dyer was dusty. The breakfast was good only downside was no apple juice and the cups for the hot drinks were very small.
Good 6.0
Pros: The beds were comfy and it was generally clean. It's a good location away from town and the receptionist was pleasant. The room rate was fair.
Cons: If you are non-dairy or vegan, you will struggle here. Breakfast was included in the room rate and I made a request months ahead of our stay that one of us was vegan. I also mentioned this at the reception when checking in. They told me to let the chef know when I arrived for breakfast. Although they cooked some veggie sausages for me when I asked, there was no non-dairy butter or milk. This meant dry toast, no tea, no cereal and a very lack breakfast! I'd expect more in this day and age, especially when I had given plenty of notice.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very well presented
Cons: Very clean
Good 7.0
Pros: Free parking and close to Leeds
Cons: Absolutely no soundproofing between rooms and corridors. You can hear everything. Decor a bit outdated. £4.80 a pint steep!
Good 7.0
Pros: Comfortable decent sized room. Excellent breakfast
Cons: Old dried chips on bedroom floor. Would have been nice if food available Saturday afternoon.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We liked everything It was quite. The view from our apartment was nice lovely green trees The apartment provided evening it was home from home.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Value for money, location was perfect
Cons: The room we had did have some damage to the furniture and the balcony doors/ windows were damaged
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The flat was clean, everything worked, didn't spend much time in there but all good and quiet.
Cons: The only issue I had was that it had not been made at all clear (if at all) that I needed to pick up the keycard from another location. This was a 25 minute walk away so we got a taxi back and upon checking emails and the booking I couldn't see where this was stated.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast was take out
Cons: Na
Good 7.0
Pros: Room was well equipped & comfortable
Cons: After a long journey to the room it was both irritating & frankly annoying to find that we had to take another taxi from 361 Burley Rd to 2 Burley Rd to check in. This was not advised in the booking confirmation & meant additional expense for a taxi there & back with waiting time. Furthermore no apology was offered!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely place will definitely be coming back again
Cons: N/a

Good 7.0
Pros: Inviting seating area outside reception for daytime drinks and relaxation was appreciated after driving down from Scotland. Very welcoming. Reception, bar and dining staff friendly.
Cons: There was a bright floodlight situated on the wall opposite our room overlooking the redundant pub outdoor area which set our room aglow for the entire night, lit up as though it was bright daylight outside. No air conditioning so we opened the windows but in order to block some of the light we had to keep the curtains shut which prevented cool air entering our room. Stifling hot in the room so we slept badly. Shame.
Good 6.0
Pros: The food and the staff.
Cons: The room didn't feel like a 'superior double' - it just seemed like a run-of-the-mill double - in terms of size, position, and facilities. I've had much more luxurious experiences at 4 star hotels elsewhere for less money.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Within walking distance of headingly stadium. Several places to eat and drink near by. Food was ok but just ok
Cons: Everything was fine
Good 7.0
Pros: Beautiful grounds
Cons: Standard rooms are so tiny.
Good 6.0
Pros: Situation for meeting family
Cons: The price paid for the night and the room quality out of the way at back of slip road

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Leisure facilities and in a great scenic area on the verge of Ilkley Moor
Cons: Silly but no black pudding with breakfast
Okay 4.0
Pros: Check in was efficient. Breakfast was reasonable. Weather was good. Pool was quiet.
Cons: Flooring in the pool area was poorly planned. Somebody bought the wrong tiles. Dangerously slippery when wet throughout. Safer floor is easily available. Bar choice was poor and overpriced. Police turned up 3 times during our one night stay. Didn't use the restaurant. Bought a curry locally from just eat. Heads up.. Don't use Baildon Spice unless you're addicted to salt. It was shocking! The girl on reception deserves nothing but praise for the trouble we witnessed her dealing with, drunken halfwits being just one.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice room with comfortable bed. Pleasant surprise to have security box, fridge and fan.
Cons: Bar leading to gardens wasn’t open.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything. It was just what we needed
Excellent 10.0
Pros: swimming pool.
Cons: slippery floors in pool and changing rooms. no lights at the end of the drive, makes it difficult to find at night time.
Good 7.0
Pros: Nice location and comfortable
Cons: Noisy people in the other rooms
Excellent 8.0
Pros: friendly comfortable
Cons: a lot of banging doors in the late evening
Good 7.0
Pros: Excellent location, spacious room and leisure facilities
Cons: The battered cod and chips in the evening was probably the worst I’ve ever had !!!
Excellent 8.8
What more do you want, pool golf food bars plenty of places to visit which are not too far away
Excellent 8.8
We have stayed here on many occasions while visiting our grandson who works in the area, and have stayed in many different rooms, this time we were on the 4 th floor with views of bramble and rubbish, not a pretty sight, not sure if they allocate the room on who you book through, this is the first time i have booked with agoda which was the cheapest ,price but i will not book again if this is their policy ,room in need of a good clean and had to ask for extra towel as only one left, also only 2 coffee and 2 milk.will be staying again in 2 weeks and hope to have a better experience.
Excellent 8.8
Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Clean and spacious rooms
Good 7.6
We ordered room service as we arrived quite late and the food was brilliant. Staff were very pleasant, the rooms were lit the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in but they were definitely not the worst. Just a bit of dust here and there and the shower head leaked slightly but other than that they were fine. However I do think it was slightly on the more expensive side for the experience we had though. Overall it was above average.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: More breakfast options
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location and large room
Cons: Steps
Okay 5.0
Pros: The hotel details document in the room detailed a choice of cooked breakfasts. However, no cooked breakfast were available. Just cereal and toast.
Cons: The toilet seat fell completely off and we had to use the bathroom in an adjacent room
Good 6.0
Pros: Location
Cons: No breakfast available
Good 7.0
Pros: The furniture was nice
Cons: The toilet shower area was very cramped
Good 7.0
Pros: Comfy bed, quiet room at back of hotel. Good restaurant
Cons: A bit dated and run down
Okay 5.0
Cons: The smell from the restaurant. The shower wasn’t even a shower it was a trickle of water.
Excellent 10.0
Second stay here. I like it because it's spotlessly clean and has been quiet both times I've stayed.
Excellent 10.0
Visited my daughter on her 21st with 1 of her brothers. We took 2 double rooms - v clean, bed comfy, en-suite excellent, quiet. Very pleased.
Excellent 8.0
Stayed for one night to see some friends who live locally. We had a warm welcome from the lady on reception. Room was clean and cosy and the breakfast for nice. We didn’t eat in the restaurant just went in for a drink as we had plans for the evening. The food looked amazing and the staff made us welcome even though we only wanted a drink. Would try the restaurant next time though. The only downside was the really hard pillows.
Excellent 9.2
Staff was incredibly helpful. We ran into a number of delays on our way there and all it took was a phone call to secure our room and a way into the hotel, even though we only managed to get there at 1 am! Simple check-in and check-out, clean and comfortable room, located near pubs, a convenience store and a beautiful park. The whole neighborhood was lovely and quiet, with easy comutes to the center of Leeds and a quick walk to the station. I was quite satisfied overall.
Excellent 8.8
Comfortable stay, good amenities close by, 24hr garage and shop opposite, good pub close by and excellent Indian restaurant adjoining the hotel.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Room clean and spacious.
Cons: A little distant from main areas. Parking fees.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The pool was brilliant, shower and bed was very comfy. Excellent
Cons: Couldnt open the windows wide
Good 7.0
Pros: Leisure facilities - brilliant pool and spa area - well managed! Very friendly staff. Room - shower fab! Great fan- as it was rather warm in Headingley so nice to have a cool room. Despite the ketchup incident - we would definitely go back.
Cons: We stayed in a club room which was a bit of a trek to get to. There was a more direct exit to the car park but it wasn't in use when we stayed - the key card scan did not work - so I guess it was just a fire exit. I opened a ketchup bottle at breakfast and it must gone off because it exploded and there was ketchup everywhere , all over my face hair, clothes, table and floor . Thankfully I wasn't off to a business meeting- but it was quite embarrassing walking through the restaurant looking like a walking crime scene. The staff were very nice about it and cleaned the area , replaced my breakfast - but we were still charged full price on leaving.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast was good, staff were friendly, bed very comfortable and room spacious
Cons: Room was too hot, found a used disposable mask in the bed
Poor 1.0
Pros: Wrong type of room allocated to me spa not working advised would give me small refund then actually took another payment from my bank still have not had this amount credited to my accont

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything about this b&b was superb, from the reception to the full English breakfast the next day. Right in the heart of the student area and only 10 minutes walk from all the bars, restaurants, cricket ground and even a movie theater or two 😎
Cons: There was nothing to dislike about the place
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Lots of space Good shower Great bed
Cons: Thin walls
Okay 5.0
Pros: Great location for attending cricket at Headingley ground. Very good breakfast for £5. Bed was comfortable & clean. Within easy walking distance of two local train stations & lots of bars & eating places. Staff very helpful & friendly.
Cons: Hotel quite run down & in need of some tlc, several basic repairs need doing eg faulty toilet flush & stiff to open bedroom door. Bathroom damp & dingy. Quite a lot of noise from bar, other guests & laundry room.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: right next to the test match so ideal value for money
Okay 4.0
Pros: A nice little area and pub it has inside
Cons: The walls was full of mould and ceiling look like it was about to cave in

Mediocre 2.8
Having had a very long journey lasting 6 hours for a 3 night break , we arrived tired and in need of a rest and relaxing evening . We had our 3 year old with us. We were woken up at 11pm by women in the room next door to us arriving back from a night out . They proceeded to party in the room shouting singing etc until first light about 5.am. Management did nothing to quieten the situation . Having complained again in the morning at the desk they said they would keep an eye on this room and we could move if we wanted ! The next night was no different and on phoning reception we were informed other guests had complained and they would send staff to speak to these females again . Things quietened down after that but we were shattered through lack of sleep. The hotel is tired and badly needs a refit . Our room 205 is in dire need of refurbishment . The fittings are old and grubby, the bathroom has peeling sealant around the sink and bath and the extractor fan does not work. The room was not serviced and I had to ask staff to supply new cups for tea coffee etc only to be told we needed to wash up in the bathroom sink ! That is not hygienic for a toddlers cup . All in all I am disgusted with this hotel.
Poor 1.0
Pros: The receptionist was lovely and the room was ok
Cons: The attitude of the fitness suite attendant . Iv never felt more unwelcome in a place in all my life
Good 6.0
Pros: location
Cons: room not serviced, bar closed at 10:30, breakfast not well staffed
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Liked the area and the room and the staff
Cons: The generator what was stopping me from having a good sleep, it was constantly pumping what i dont know but it was below my window, so dissapointed with the fact i had to be up early for an early flight, with not much sleep
Poor 1.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything dirty disgusting hotel especially during possible Covid in the uk
Okay 4.0
Cons: Great staff but not enough of them. Understaffing resultied in poor service at breakfast and at bar.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Room was comfortable. Nice to have some complimentary water. Evening bar meal was nice. Staff helpful and friendly but not enough of them!
Cons: Took 20 minutes to check in. Key card didn’t work either day. Television was unplugged and lead used somewhere else so had to get the very busy man on reception to help me. Second day at least 3 coaches of people arrived so queues out the door and after a long day at work I had absolutely no chance of a drink or food. It was manic Connecting room wall very thin so my neighbours radio at 5.30am wasn’t very welcome! Overall not a great experience.
Excellent 10.0
Great value for money
Good 7.6
Although the hotel is clean the hotel is supposed to be open for essential workers only yet when I left at 6am this morning after being woken up several times during the night there was a large group of drunk people still up drinking in the lounge area on the 1st floor.

Okay 4.0
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Food was bland and unexceptional. The staff didn’t really seem to have any motivation for their jobs, very impersonal service. I appreciate hotels had a tough time during lockdown but this is one very drab and tired hotel. I expect much more from a Mercury.
Okay 4.2
Pros: 2 things bed clean Breakfast nice
Cons: Not enough in 3 sentences to rate this awful hotel. From beginning to end was a disaster
Okay 5.0
Cons: Unfortunately my room was very unclean, the shower has empty bottles from the previous guest as well as lots of hairs.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All good
Okay 5.0
Pros: The staff were friendly.
Cons: The room was old and decorative state best described as tired, bore little resemblance to the pictures on the site. Was charged more than shown on my booking. Hot water spat and sputtered. shower only just made it into the bath. cobwebs on the window.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Staff very friendly but the overall appearance of the hotel was tired.Obviously the recent pandemic has not helped. I stayed here many years ago on business on a number of occasions and little seems to have changed. I booked a standard double room which was not quite up to standard in my view.
Cons: Bathroom could with an upgrade and the whole room was little dark.Light bulbs not working in the bathroom and no central light fitting in the bedroom.
Okay 5.0
Pros: It was poor the room was poor and smelt of smoke
Cons: A lot
Good 6.5
Pros: Breakfast provided Soya milk and red bush tea lovely
Cons: Hot tap in basin splattered Floor vibrated with the music Room was cold, had to turn on and up heater Shower water was luke warm

Excellent 8.0

Cons: Dated furniture and carpets. Would stay again though.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff where so friendly when I walked in, even when I was little flustered 🤣 I loved my little room, everything was clean! Yes it's a little out dated, but I didnt mind that at all, my bed was really comfy and the bathroom was spotless.
Cons: Nothing, I loved my little room.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Sþaff
Cons: Dated
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, comfort, value for money, breakfast.
Cons: A bit basic but what you'd expect for the price. Nothing to fault.
Poor 1.0
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Okay 5.0
Pros: Convenient for cricket.
Cons: Room a little tired, bathroom in need of refurbishment
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location for Headingley
Cons: A bit dated
Excellent 8.8
The manager and staff were friendly, the property and room itself was definitely dated and in need of some fixes here and there, but it was very clean, good towels, and the bed was remarkably comfortable for what I've come to expect from more budget hotel/inn options. Didn't make use of the bar or breakfast, sadly. Located just around the centre of Headingley you're in easy reach of some pubs, clubs etc and the city proper is easily accessed via bus or taxi. Would stay again!

Poor 1.0
Pros: the kebab we had delivered to it.
Cons: If you have never had a stay at her majesty’s pleasure and you want to know what it might possibly be like, a night in the Budget Ibis is what you need.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Nothing it’s out of place
Cons: Everything
Good 7.0
Pros: Clean good value accommodation
Cons: Have stayed here many times and always great staff and clean accommodation, but on this occasion signed in went to my room 212 to freshen before I went out to visit a friend, came back at 11pm unable to get into my room, summoned chap behind desk who was very helpful only to find they had re allocated my room with all my belongings including iPad still in room 212 to someone else, not happy, they gave me room 30 ok it was clean but smelt damp and aircon unit was flinging water out when I switched it on,all the bedding felt that it needed a good airing, so on this occasion the stay was a bad experience, something wrong with there booking system when it does not pick up that a room is already occupied
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel let us bring our dog, a good time was had by all!
Excellent 9.6
5 mins walk from Forster Square station and 5 mins by A2 bus from the Bradford Interchange. Also very close to the Valley Parade football ground.
Excellent 10.0
