Location was central to the town and close to shops and theatres and restaurants. The pool facility at the sister property, the Prince of Wales Hotel, that we were allowed to use was attractive and quite luxurious though in need of some maintenance. The Christmas decorations and plants were beautiful at both hotels
The carpets throughout were old and faded and threadbare in places and need replacing. The room had a Kuerig which served cold coffee. The water in the bathroom taps took at least 3 Minutes to heat. My elderly mother’s room had a very loud heater that sounded like a jet engine and she was not able to sleep during the night as a result. The beds in our rooms had comfortable pads which unfortunately slipped off the beds throughout the night because they were not properly attached to the bed. The wallpaper in the bedrooms was fading and starting to peel.
We had a lovely reception. The room was charming and cozy.
The pillows were lumpy!
Location was excellent, free parking, on main street, close to Festival Theatre & shops.
