The Club is strikingly set on the crest of a hill in a wildlife sanctuary that covers the higher areas of the heavily-forested Aberdare Mountain range of central Kenya. Cottages are set into the hillside with commanding views of the lodges extravagant landscaping and a breathtaking panorama of the mountains beyond. Rooms and suites boast fireplaces, and beds are warmed with hot water bottles to stave off chilly evenings.The Clubs 1,300 acre wildlife sanctuary is teeming with impalas, zebras, giraffes and the more reclusive leopards. It is a haven of unhurried charm set in a garden bursting with a profusion of colour, and with peacocks living within the lush green lawns.Walking through this unspoiled terrain is paradise. Play a round of golf watched by a family of warthog, take a Mountain bike and ride up to Kamatongu Hill, play tennis or just relax by the heated pool within the beautiful gardens. From here you can see the sunset with the stunning Aberdare Mountains as a backdrop.
